I drove from Athens to get some to-go food from Cream and Shuga so I was definitely disappointed after that drive when the food was subpar at best. We got: The Augusta BLT, which as shown below in the picture had only a tiny piece of bacon on the sandwich and barely any pimento cheese, and the smallest tomato slice I’ve ever seen on a sandwich. There was a lot of arugula, but really, who wants a lot of arugula and not the other ingredients that actually make the sandwich? The bacon had amazing flavor but again, it was so tiny. The Chicken Panini was definitely better than the BLT, but the pesto on it was super bland. Really had no flavor at all. I worked at the original Cream & Shuga and we had an amazing chicken panini which I’ve been craving for 10 years so I had high hopes but was sadly disappointed. My husband got the The Chef Salad which he said was very basic and not what he would have spent money on if he had known. I’ve been before and the coffee I got was delicious, but the food has been sub-par.

It's a beautiful place, sort of a restaurant/coffee shop, with great food and coffee, and a very interesting layout due to being a jail that's been repurposed and spiffied up into a really bright and stylish spot. They've clearly put a lot into making it cool, with each room decorated differently. I love that someone started with a building that must've been a whole lot of nothing, and realized this vision! Pretty much everything I've had here has been fantastic! I'm a big fan of the Greek salad, it's especially great with a lemonade on a hot day. It'll save your life in the summer. Check out the cool presentation in this futuristic bowl! And the little desserts are SO delicious. It's great to hang out here, or take your coffee and wander about exploring the place. 10/10 would recommend!

I've stopped by here for lunch 8 times now. I wanted to get a good feel for the place before I wrote my review. I have found the staff to be consistently friendly. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. The coffee, hot and cold, is good. Since it's so hot, I've been ordering the iced mocha latte and the turkey and cheese wrap with no mayonnaise. The chicken panini, pictured here, is from my first visit. The other photo is a cheesecake bar. It was too delicious to take a picture of without trying it first... so good. I would recommend Cream and Shuga to anyone who's hungry around lunch time. Be aware that they close at 3pm in the summertime though. I have not tried they're breakfast yet. I'll update this review after I do that.

9/05 Came in after a long weekend, and that was not a wise decision. No fresh cut fruit for my son, which is understandable but still frustrating. What I don’t like is the fact that their milk clearly is bad considering my son just projectile vomited milk in the backseat of my vehicle on top of the fact that I got the same drink I always get and it’s entirely too sweet and it’s two different colors because I get two different types of iced coffee so I don’t know if they didn’t put my shots of espresso in there that I pay for or what the deal is but I’m very disappointed. It seems like the shop only runs in certain individuals are there and when they’re not there it doesn’t operate. Well at all big Takeaway is lack of consistency.

06/29 I love coming here for coffee but I wish the baristas had more consistency between them. They don't follow the same recipe because every single barista makes my coffee different every time. Other than that this place is still lovely

I placed an order online for 7:30 pick up. Love that I was able to have a veterans parking spot! Not a lot of places have them! Long shorty short this place was slammed with morning rush and my ticket was either looked over or never printed. A younger blonde woman whose name I didn’t get came up and asked me what I was waiting on and I showed her my order and not only did her in the kitchen jump to it and get my order done very quickly they were kind enough to make the moment right and refund me my money due to my items not being ready in a timely manner. I will definitely be back! Thank you guys so much for the...

Well, I've been a huge fan of Cream & Shuga for many years. It's still not bad, but twice recently I've gone in and had less than desirable experiences. Once, the staff was too busy chatting and playing to get my coffee prepared, so much so that I had to say something to them to get my coffee (off-put with no apology). Since this is a coffee shop, people are on their way to work or typically have time constraints, so this service is not considerate of their customers. Today, I went in, and the staff as a whole was nowhere near as pleasant as they used to be, and one part of my order came out first, then the second part came out late...and COLD. When I asked them to provide warm food, it still came out barely warmed (eggs cold, cheese not melted). I've always been a fan of this place, but it may be that the new ownership doesn't have the same customer service and quality standards as the former owner. Hopefully, this improves, but I am not sure I am going back anytime soon. There's other options in Jefferson now such as the Bistro. Hopefully, they'll improve. We have loved this place for a long time. ...
