We spent the weekend camping at Billingsley Creek Campground. Very nice facility and we enjoyed the views and the cleanness of the facility. This will be a very well used facility once the trees grow up a bit. I'm not one to usually write a review but I felt I had to this time. I don't know if there is a standard design for laying out camping units, but I feel safe saying whoever the designer is, they probably don't own a RV. Because the sewer box is located at the far rear of the island, I had to use the leading section of the pad to have enough hose to connect. The water/power was no problem. That made the camp pad way to the front of the drive through and 35 feet from my door. Most RV's sewer dump is located at the front of the trailer wheels, not at the rear. Power is usually at the back corner or on the rear of the RV. An ideal drive through would have the camp pad in the center of the drive and the sewer box directly across from it. Then the power/water to the rear of the island where the sewer is now. As far as the utility island, who ever made the decision to put 6” river rock in there must be nuts. That's a major safety issue for elderly folks like me with knee problems. Very uneasy to walk on when setting up. I can see an accident waiting to happen. The main bath house that we used was nice and clean. However, the handicap Van Parking was an issue. If you pull in forward the passenger side access door puts you in the grass. You would have to back in to unload a wheelchair on pavement. A repaint of the lines...
