My son likes coming here because there’s rarely a ton of kids. When he wants to practice soccer or fly a kite or just have enough room to run around this is our go to park. Because it’s clean, and it’s wide-open so there’s no places for creepy people to hide and abduct your child. Not that that’s happening at other parks here but you got to be vigilant you know what I mean. I like to walk down to the water aka Cypress Creek and fish for a few minutes when we come here. I’ve seen a couple of huge snakes though so please be cautious and don’t go down there alone. Sometimes there’s trails pushed down through the weeds so you can walk very easily up to the sand and just fish right there. Other times the weeds gotten too high up and there’s just too many creepy crawlies to risk trudging through to get to the water. And all honesty I have not yet caught a fish at this location. But I have seen them and I know of other people have caught them here. If you catch anything from the creek at this spot please comment or leave a review so I know not to give up on it here.

This is pretty much the ideal place to bring young children. A great and varied outdoor playground that's a little different from the tired norms and appeals to different ages. Public restrooms - so important with children in particular! Picnic tables, grills and trash cans. In particular we like the little track that runs around the circumference of the restrooms and playground equipment, affording a place to get in those steps, or let children wear themselves out on their bikes whilst parents have a 360° view of where they are. The only downside is a great deal of ant hills in the surrounding grass.

Play ground is up!!! (Pic attached) Been passing by and anticipating development. Hopefully there will be a canopy over the play ground like I've seen other nice parks because it's in direct sunlight and the heat here in the city is brutal! Also please please add a much needed community splash pad, somewhere. There is not one in this part of town and there are so many nice parks-Kickerillo, Meyer, Collins, Matzke.... Just to name a few! Thank You Harris County for this new addition!
