This is a great easy to moderate walk along approximately 4 miles of trails. There are trail markers that show you where you are on the trail. The outermost loop starts at the parking lot. You can go either right or left at the river. A left will take you to the new overlook and you can see Jones Bridge Park across the water. If you continue, the trail will circle back to the parking lot. Turn right at the first trail marker (J4) and you will walk mostly along the river until the trail turns inward and uphill through the forest. Whitetail deer can be seen and lots of birds. From the main parking lot one can travel north (left) for a bit along the river trail until the trail ends behind the unsightly green chain link fence of Country Club of the South.
