We chose to do the tour with a guide and felt that made all the difference. The guide was very informative and had answers to all of our questions. I will say that it was hard to hear her talk as we were walking from building to building as she was in front of us so we were looking at the back of her head. If I could make a suggestion, it would be that the guides maybe wear a microphone or do something so that everyone can hear all the information. Read moreWe loved this Historic Site. We had the guided tour. Emily was the tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and professional. And, it was a lot of information to retain and share with others. She answered all the extra questions we had. It was beautiful and everything was kept in great condition. It was a very warm day and I didn't take any photos.. But I will not forget how amazing the home, lawyer office and the cabin looked, especially the original items that were in them. The grounds were beautiful. Read moreThe Halloween event was a little disappointing but that's partly my fault. The event was from 2-6pm and we didn't get there until 4:45. They had really cute kid friendly crafts which were great. But there was suppose to be storytelling and there wasn't. So we went to ride the hayride and it they said it had broken down. Stuff happens so that's not really there fault. Everyone there was really nice and I appreciate them taking the time to put on the event. It was kinda windy so we didn't walk around the whole property. But I'm sure we'll visit again...
