It had been years since I tried to play with clay and it was just after COVID when I happened upon Aleta and Art Curious... She had a Facebook event for making platters and bowls. I signed up and was thrilled with the pieces I made. Almost immediately, and continually I started going to Art Curious regularly.

I cannot get over how well guided I was in the class I signed up for. (And by the way, classes are usually small. Usually two to four people... maybe six on certain small items). Anyway , the studio has every, and I mean every tool a potter could possibly want... For both hand building as well as wheel throwing... Though really, you Will get a lot of gorgeous work accomplished if you don't have an extraordinarily clear-communicating and enjoyable person to learn from. Aleta was & has been both. Not only as an instructor for a 'newbie', but also as a helper for someone that has been doing this for a few years as I have been now.

Over the course of the last few years I learned that Aleta has a couple art degrees and has an amazing reputation for her skills and artistry. But what is cool is how sincere she is about the art, while also, genuinely, caring you're enjoying the process as you learn about it. Though I am at a point where I mostly work at the studio independently, I usually come across something that is challenging to me. When I ask for more tutelage, Aleta is as helpful as ever.

I think the prices are exceptionally fair. The location is exquisite --as it's relatively simple to get to. There's plenty of parking. There's plenty of space inside the studio. The studio equipment is well maintained and as I said previously, there's really nothing you cannot make in the pottery realm at the studio. Our planet needs more...

This is the most horrible situation I have ever dealt with. I ERRORED, and promptly asked to change a date or how to proceed to fix the error. I have scheduled a class for Nov 27 the transaction happened Oct 29. I was informed "to be BLUNT you cost me money, I said to make sure YOU AS THE CUSTOMER DON'T MAKE A MISTAKE. IT COST ME MONEY. DO NOT CONTACT ME THROUGH GOOGLE. IT COST ME MONEY. NO REFUND I AM ON VACATION!" All communicationed to me by email nothing else. Well, Google is how I found the studio. There is no phone number to call, only computer scheduling, Google and now email of which she still has not responded!!! IT COST HER MONEY!!! I WILL NOT GO THERE AND WILL BE PUTTING THIS ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA I HAVE. I HAVE STOPPED PAYMENT SOOO YOU LOSE EITHER WAY! I have as yet to be in the studio, actually spoken to a person, but I WILL NEVER .... BECAUSE UNLIKE HER I AM NOT PERFECT!!!! Who has a business that has a schedule appt. that cost money to reschedule. I hope she is never sick. This You are a HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON. THIS ISSUE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF ON OCT.29, 2022 NOT NOV. 1, 2022. The person who cost her moneySTALKING PEOPLE AT THWRE WORK...

I highly recommend taking classes at ArtCurious Studio with Aleta if you are interested in learning pottery and having a great teacher! I started with a bowl, spoon and tray hand-building class and then I did a 6 week beginner's pottery class with the wheel. Aleta is great at teaching and being patient while allowing you to have your own creative ideas! For the price you pay, it is well worth it as it includes instruction from an amazing potter, multiple pieces you can use, glazing, and kiln firing. I had never done pottery before taking her classes and have made great progress throughout the weeks! She even taught me more advanced forms such as a pot with a lid! Pottery is a great skill to have and also anxiety relieving. I have included some pictures of my creations throughout the classes! I have a few more pieces to glaze, and it is always fun to see what comes out of the kiln! Try...

Wow, what an amazing class! If I could, I'd give the Art Curious Studio class TEN stars 🥰 I learned so much in just a short time and enjoyed every bit of it. The owner, Aleta, is a super cool, very patient instructor. My daughter and I enjoyed her just as much as we did the class! FYI, COME WITH SHORT NAILS 🤣 just do it. Also, the wheel is not recommended for young kids, but I highly encourage this as a bonding session with older children, spouse, friends, or even solo. Anyway, I'm so excited to see my bowl once it's out of the kiln! Thank you, Aleta, for bringing such a beautiful art to the Tri-Cities. We'll see you next time!

So much fun! ArtCurious is place is a wealth of inspiration, guidance & creativity. Very reasonably priced, super fun projects, easy & relaxed process. Aleta is a wonderful instructor who will show you what to do & will guide you along the way while also letting you figure it out & make it your own. Sign up for a class & enjoy getting lost in crafting something with your hands then you’ll have learned how to do it & also have some super cool pottery….that you made yourself! Conveniently located, cozy environment, great options~ just go! You won’t regret it.
