What a great water park! We had two families in our party and we all had an absolute BLAST! The water slides were a clear favorite among the kids and the lazy river was the favorite of the adults.
One of the most impressive things about this water park though are the clearly trained lifeguards. One kid in our party accidentally drifted into too deep of water and started panicking, but the lifeguard was IMMEDIATELY right there in the water with her and pulled her to safety. I honestly could not be more impressed! The lifeguards are all VERY attentive and always walking around looking at the water proactively (not like some other places where lifeguards get on their phones or simply chit chat with one another without truly paying attention to what's happening in the water). The management and training here is clearly top notch!
The food prices at the cafe are surprisingly reasonable and the food we got was delicious! We all thought the pizza was fantastic. One member of our party is gluten-free and said the GF brownie was, and I quote, "The best gluten-free brownie I've ever tasted."
A note regarding other negative reviews... We did not see that many bees. Yes, there were some by the flowering trees, but you're outdoors in nature and there's water. I'm not sure if other people aren't used to being outside or what. The bee count was very normal for a summer day. Also, the water was clean! Again, I'm not sure what some people expect with dozens of people at an outdoor water park. The water was clear (not cloudy at all!) and the only items I saw in the water were a wood chip (which must've gotten stuck to some little kid's foot) and a juice box straw wrapper (which again is very normal considering we are outdoors with people eating). Also, I only saw those things in the water ONCE...the filter or a person working there must've gotten them out of the water because we were there for hours and I didn't see them again. If you're thinking about going here, do it! It's a great place for some summer fun for the...
Read moreMy family adores this water park. They have something for every member of the family. There are three large slides for the adults and older kids. These slides have a minimum height requirement of atleast 48" to go down these slides. For the younger members, there are two smaller slides that lead to shallow pools at the bases. There are also divided sections in the actual pool. The main pool is divided into three sections: the 4' lazy river, the deep end that goes to 6' deep, and finally the shallow end. The shallow end gently slopes from the edge of the concrete all the way to the depth of 4', where a bouy line separates the to sides. On the shallow end, there are "splash areas" were kids can get water poured ontop of them, water spouts that make mini geysers to play with, and other small sections for water play. Aside for the great selection for every member regardless the age, they also have a snowcone stand and a fully operational snack bar with an unstairs, covered dining area. The bathrooms have shower stalls and sinks along one wall whilr the opposing wall has the toilet stalls. When entering the restrooms always becareful because the floors always has water on the floor. I would recommend everybody to visit this water park atleast once during the summer. The greatest part is the cost for admission. Ticket prices for adults is $12, children older than 3 years of age costs $6, while any children 3 years or less get in free of charge. These prices are amazing considering the park opens at 10 AM and closes at 6 PM, so long as there is no weather interference. My last point I want to include is that admission is half price after 3 PM everyday! Gather the family and go enjoy a day full of sun, fun, and swimming while the warm...
Read moreFor a local water park Wetlands is pretty good. There is an area for younger kids with a smaller slide that they can go on, and plenty of shallow water for them to splash in. There are 3 bigger slides for big kids and adults, a pool area and a lazy river. The park is kind of small but its still enjoyable. The main issues I had with the park was the amount of mulch that was in the water due to landscaping and if you want chairs you better get there when they open or bring your own because there is a very limited supply. Also, when we went to get food from their stand, they are completely unorganized in how they take the orders and fuffil them. We ordered and were not given a reciept or number or anything to identify what we got. We were told to go to the next window to wait on our food but the people working would bring random things to the window and call out, nachos with cheese, hot dog, etc., and prety much it was a free for all to just grab part of what you ordered before someone else who probably ordered the same thing grabbed it. We ordered three hotdogs a fry and chilli cheese nachos and it took nearly 15 minutes to grab the food so we could eat, wich was after standing in line another 15 mins to actually order. I highly suggest bringing your own food as well. I will say the food was at least decent, better than most amusment/water park food. A plus however is they do offer a rain pass if they have to shut the park down for inclement weather, we got stormed out after being there for four hours and claimed purs at the ticket booth. All together it is a nice place to go to have fun in the sun with family and friends and we will definitely...
