The park was nice and clean the gentleman that came over to help me get the machine working to pay for my boat launch was very nice although it was like the third time that machine has been out and I'm a little disturbed because I bought the yearly boat past two years in a row and they shut the ramps down and I couldn't get in the lake and I think they need to reimburse me or give me a least one year free pass but I asked the guy and he said it wasn't going to happen well they shouldn't sell a pass if they're going to shut the boat ramps down so I think they owe me a free pass but I live close and I've been on Lake Travis my whole life ever since I was 4 years old my daddy on the Cove over there by the church that Overlook the lake off Lake Travis he took me fishing there and course we skied and fish there we helped develop the jet skis there and I'll remember Glastron used to bring their black and yellow bumblebee 6 cylinder 2 stroke out there so loud with those expansion pipes busted years but getting back to Jones Brothers Park I'm glad it's so close and I appreciate the town of Jonestown for opening the park sometimes my wife and I go over there and just eat a sandwich and watch the water but they do need to fix it machine and they do need to give me a free pass for the two years that I was...

Of COURSE they used COVID as the excuse for this change. Well funny how the change is still in place even long after the easing of COVID restrictions. I think we all know the real reason then. (Yes, it's greed. But probably also to keep the riff raff out too like others said because the elite wish to have nothing to do with the rest of us as we all know.)
Here's hoping it backfires and teaches them a lesson. Based on what others have said, it already sort of is. You're making enough money off people as is, Jonestown. You don't all need 2 or 3 lakeside mansions to feel satisfied with life, and if you do, it's YOU that needs change. Not your life.
I won't be coming back, so hey, I'm glad that getting rid of people like me was your...
Read moreHave been visiting this park for years. The park itself is nice, it has some of the basic amenities that any park would have and lots of areas with open space. In addition it has a couple of areas to launch a boat, almost unlimited areas along the bank to easily launch a kayak and to fish. However now they're charging everyone a $20 (parking) fee. Again the park is nice and clean, but it doesn't even have half the stuff that Brushy Creek Lake & Sports Park has in Cedar Park. If you're planning on doing anything else besides launching a boat here it would be more worth it to just go somewhere else, or to Brushy Creek Lake Park because they don't charge any fees and have more amenities there. (I'm giving it 2 stars because of the $20...
