Parr Hill Park — Attraction in Joplin

Great park with a main nicely sized set of playground equipment, another smaller but decently sized set on the opposite side of the property (including a handicapped swing), a separate toddler sized set of playground equipment, basketball court, exercise equipment, indoor facilities in two well spaced locations, a children's splash pad (seasonal obviously) randomly placed covered seating/tables, a small pond, wide open spaces, water fountains for drinking, bottle filling and they even include lower dog accessable options on them, a contained centrally located off leash dog park!! There is a paved walking track that lines up with another set of paved walking tracks across the street that have a gravel set of walking tracks across another street from them. The city covered their bases on the update to this park! It has something for the whole family, a great location with multiple parking areas surrounding it. We have attended and enjoyed multiple birthday parties at this location. I might even be forgetting something?? It's definitely one of the better parks that Joplin has to offer...

Nice pavillion. Clean, tables weren't all marked up, grounds were nicely mowed, pavilion was well taken care of, trash cans were empty and not smelly. Need to put up reserved signs on pavilions though. Almost got into a fist fight with a family that was already camped out in the pavillion we had rented for the day and they got very mouthy and obnoxious when we told them that we had reserved that space for the day. Thought we were going to have issues for a few minutes. The members of the park board might want to come up with a notification way when a pavilion is rented for the day so other people don't start using it and then get mad when...

It's a very nice park and one of the larger ones in Joplin. There are several different playgrounds including some water pads during the summer for kids to play in. It also has a large walking trail that you can walk around and it is paved asphalt. There are several gazebos with picnic tables and also a dog park. You have to reserve the gazebos if you want to have a party there officially I believe and you can contact the city to get access to the dog park. The dog park does require an...
