****************************************** New review for 2018 I still cannot give it 5 stars. 1. They did put some fake grass around the pirate ship (that I still say is an odd useless thing to have, but I digress) which is a huge improvement over the pitted foam stuff but gets very hot. 2. Their employees STILL don't seem to know what the rules are or what is going on and you will get a different answer every day you go, possibly even on the same day depending on who you ask. I have added pictures of the rules since they inexplicably do not have them on their website...that I can find anyway. I suggest keeping them on hand to reference if needed. No one is on the same page. 3. My biggest issue this year is that they took away ALL but 2 umbrellas from around the pool. They still have more than enough around the "kiddie area". 4. The food area has improved since my last review but they are still slow. It seems like if they have more than 2 orders they get ridiculously backed up. All in all we keep coming back because although the employees don't seem to know what's what all the time they are all nice and at the end of the day my kid loves it and it's a good way to get us out of the house for a few hours a day. ******************************************* So far we have had good experiences here...except for getting food. The system is lacking and we spent an hour waiting for a hamburger, hotdog and fries....we were not offered any extras (lettuce, tomato etc) for the burger. Once we finally got the burger and hotdog we had to wait another 10-15 min for the fries. This is unfortunate because they basically force you to buy their food since they have a 'no outside food' rule. However, their prices are not outrageous. I recommend buying the souvenir cup...it gives you free refills for that day and $1 refills any subsequent day (per refill). They do give an option to bring a cooler but it will cost you. They charge $20 for a medium sized cooler and $50 for a large cooler. You are allowed to bring one sandwich per person, one juice per person (no soda, no alcohol, no glass) and fruits and veggies (no chips). Don't go on Wednesdays, this seems to be the day school and summer camp groups show up en masse. It wasn't bothersome at all until it was time to get food because not all groups order as a group...they do so individually.

New review for 2018

I still cannot give it 5 stars.

They did put some fake grass around the pirate ship (that I still say is an odd useless thing to have, but I digress) which is a huge improvement over the pitted foam stuff but gets very hot.

Their employees STILL don't seem to know what the rules are or what is going on and you will get a different answer every day you go, possibly even on the same day depending on who you ask. I have recently purchased a season pass to your Riverside California water park The Cove, on this day June 16, 2017 I used it for the first time. This establishment has been one of the worst operated water parks that I have been to. Upon arrival there was no clear lines in the main entrance it was very chaotic. The staff seemed ill equipped to handle what was going on in front of them. It wasn't just one member of your team but all of them which leads me to believe they did not receive proper training. After receiving my wrist band I entered the park were I noticed a outside food vendor to my right and the actual cafe to my left (Galley Grill), at the food vendor first thing I see is one of the employees with there finger in there nose completely unhygienic, which instantly meant I was not purchasing any food that didn't come pre packaged from this establishment. I tried not to let that get to me so I continued on into the park, were I noticed that none of the life guards truly looked to be paying any attention to what was going on in front of them which I could only consider to be there sector of responsibility. I proceed to look for a chair to place my things down and notice there is no were near enough chairs, peoples things are all along the ground and side of the park. So I look for a empty place to put my things and get into the lazy River which is riddled with dead insects floating in it. I've only been here 30 minutes and I want to leave. I become thirsty so I journey to get a beverage I make my way into the Galley Grill there is no semblance of an attempt to cordon a line all too familiar. So I begin to wait in a position that the hurd moves in and notice that the life guards are talking with the cooking staff which is causing a blockage at the exit door in turn causing long wait times. While this is happening I'm over hearing people getting cold food (which is hard to do when it comes to fries and chicken fingers you really have to try to mess that up). I make it through just to get a $3.50 drink which is a watered down version of root beer. Overall I have just left and feel I have wasted my money.

Take the time and drive to one of southern California's better water parks don't...

All the attractions are fine but overall it can get boring after while there is a kid area with smaller waterslides a lazy River and 3 regular waterslides I almost forgot there is a warm pool that I never go in and a flo Rider thing that I don't know to much about. But I usually end up going in the lazy River a few times then end up going in the waterslides over and over.

For season passes: I have had a few problems with multiple times. (1) There were 2 days in a row that we tried to go because they advertise it as you can go everyday but when we got there they were closed to the public for a private event then we came back the next day and it happened again but there was an employee there who we asked about it and they said that they just assume that everybody checks their website and that there is a calendar on it. We also saw both times multiple other people who were trying to get in. When purchasing our passes we were never informed of a website or that they would ever be closed and were not contacted any other way to know that the park was closed. (Obviously no one else was either.) (2) Along with the season passes come admission to another water park (dropzone) so we headed over there but they were closed. Prior to driving out to the park we had gone in multiple websites to check if they were open come to find out they don't open for a couple weeks. (Overall problem) When buying and considering passes we were told that we could go every day and that we could go to dropzone water park. Now I understand that places close sometimes but as a pass holder who could have been planning on going everyday as advritised They should have told us about this and that the other water park that they were advising was not open yet. They should've led us to their website or told us or out up a sign. (3) It was the whole month of August (excluding weekends) I believe that when we checked the website found out that they would be closed even though we PAID for...
