We came in to this place with high hopes. First impression itās a nice quaint place; with a lovely atmosphere. We noticed right off the bat that a couple was waiting for their food; it was just them waiting so we went ahead and ordered. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros with a canned soda to drink. For my son we ordered a chicken taco. I ordered chilaquiles with Jamaica- initially I was looking at the tortas but changed my mind and opted for chilaquiles instead- we ordered and sat down. Right away we noticed that the tables were not prepped (like salt/pepper/salsa/utensilsā¦etc) the couple got their food and another family of 3 came in and ordered. We waited and waited and more people started coming in. We waited some more; and noticed the cook stopped what he was doing to go help assist in taking orders, everyone working looked confused and somewhat overwhelmed at the orders. After a few more minutes of waiting the waitress came to our table with a confused look at dropped off my sons taco; which didnāt come with anything just a pile of chicken (nothing else) my husband thought I had ordered it like that but I hadnāt; we thought it would come with cilantro, onion and a slice of lemon. After waiting some more time; the waitress came back with a confused look and dropped off a plate for my husband; my husband asked her if thatās what he had ordered because it didnāt look anything like the description. She stared at him confused grabbed the plate and took it to another table the table of the family of 3 that had arrived after we did and ordered after we had. Itās no big deal we understand some plates are quicker. So we waited and waited and noticed how the other family was fully served before us. The waitress came to our table to drop off the drinks. We waited some more and my chilaquiles were brought to me; I wouldnāt order chilaquiles there again. Their tortillas are strips of tortillas and they were chewy. The huevos though were on point, more than half of my plate consisted of the chilaquiles which I didnāt finish and on the side a little portion of rice which was also good and flavorful and beans. My husband plate was brought later and he ate his huevos rancheros (not your typical huevos rancheros on a tortilla-he actually had to ask for tortilla because it wasnāt brought to him). He asked for salsa as well and two little to go containers were brought to us; I asked for sour cream for my eggs and to share with my son and a small little to go container was brought. We both agreed to not come back. We understand that the employees were probably overwhelmed by the amount of people that came in at once but we noticed a lot of back and forth and confusion between them. More than likely wonāt be coming back for brunch again. Maybe develop a better system especially during busy weekend hours to ease...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove this place its soo good. I need to make my way back every week. I over eat so I need to only make it once a week š¤£š¤£š¤£. I always get the asada it's literally the best you don't even need to add any salsa to it. Alpastor is my second ..usually it's my go to anywhere I go.. but something about the asada here is amazing. I know I know most will say how can you mess you Carne asada. Believe it or not, I've been to a few places that have messed up asada or used cheaper meat to pass as asada. Not this place. It's not even about messing it up or not. It's literally some of the best Carnes asada I've ever had any. I'm not sure it's it's the seasoning where they get the meat or how it's cooked, but this is the nest asada I've ever had. As far as the other Meats go, I can't say.. Once I find something I like, I tend to stick to that and live by it. Idk if I'm willing to try anything else given that I only go once a week, haha. Don't be scared it u want in and it's empty..it usually empty bcuz alot of people take the food to go since it is a neighborhood resturant most people jsut take it home since its so close. And I see alot of people pick up on lunch break. Anyways if your in jurupa valley across from the ace hardwear store give...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis location blew our expectations out of the water!! This was our first time here and we will definitely be returning soon. Not only was the atmosphere calm and inviting, but the customer service was outstanding. The owner and his wife were friendly and attentive. My boyfriend and I each ordered the chilaquiles. He had green, which I tried and were delicious. I had the ranchero with a bit of the red salsa mixed in. The flavor was amazing with the perfect amount of heat. The chilaquiles were still crispy and well portioned. We were so happy with the quality and taste of the food that we had to order again! The second round my boyfriend ordered the torta and I had a carne asada sope. They were delicious! The food has the homemade taste and quality weāve been looking for. The cafe de olla was deliciously sweet and fresh. We also had the strawberry filled churros which were the best Iāve had hands down. Thank you to the owners for such a...
