We were all very excited to visit as it says there are 4 flight simulators as well other attractions inside. Unfortunately there was only 1 simulator working, with no explanation why. As it can only fit 2 people and each session lasts a couple of minutes, it meant queuing for almost an hour to have a go! And it wasn't even busy. If we were warned about it when buying tickets, we would have thought twice about spending over $100! Several other interactive machines were not in use (but without even a sign to say they were out of order). Massive disappointment. I can't even comment on the simulator because I gave up after 30min. The only reason for the 2stars (instead of 1) is the other building -flight discovery centre. It is next to an airport so you can enjoy watching planes but going inside is a must- this is where they restore planes. What makes it great is seeing the before and after and having those who restored these planes talk to you and answer any questions. Flight discovery centre -5 stars, flight innovation...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting the Air Zoo, and we were not disappointed. After getting our wristbands for the day, we were greeted by an older gentleman who was extremely friendly and informative. He explained some of the highlighted and rare aircraft they had in their collection and explained what each area had available to see. The facility was very clean and easy to navigate. Many vintage early aircraft all the way up to the modern F-117A were on hand for viewing pleasure. They have flight simulators and a movie theater with historic videos. They even have a nice area for kids with carnival rides to keep them entertained. They also have a nice Cafe with really tasty food. Entrance fee was around $18 for adults, a little less for children. So if you're looking for a nice day trip like we were. It is definitely worth checking out the...
Read moreI love this place! In the main area, there are 3 major sections/hangars that are all connected. Once you pay to get in, all rides and activities are free.
The first hangar has most of the interactive activities and rides for kids. A small snack stand with popcorn/chips and water/sodas is available for purchase as well.
The next hangar is WWII themed, cool history as well as test cockpits for you to get in.
Final hangar is space/NASA themed. Lots of cool stuff for kids to mess with and for history buffs too!
Finally the original hangar used for the Air Zoo is a 2 min drive or 15 min walk by the airport. There's a lot more helicopters and planes kids and adults can get in as well as you can see the area where they restore the planes. Pretty awesome! Cap it off by watching a few...
