Nice size park with plenty of playground and picnic space to set up for Bbq's or just enjoying lunch outside (with or without children). There's mini golf and a concession stand, which I'm unsure of the hours; the bathrooms are close by, a men's and ladies' room, which is generally always clean. My favorite part is the creek, which is just beyond the park and on the opposite side of the trail path. There's a natural waterfall carved into the rock, perfect for little ones to play & enjoy without the extremity of a larger body of water. The deepest part is maybe three feet or so. It's a really nice getaway on hot days if you prefer nature, especially with summer coming (plenty of shade and a bunch of mini sand banks to lay a blanket or set up a beach chair). If you visit, please do use the nearby trash can for your garbage ( =. It's the perfect weather for braids too, check out Roxxy Mobile Styling, we specialize in all types of braids and work with...
Β Β Β Read moreWe absolutely adore this park! It is quiet and scenic. My kids can't get enough of the creek and waterfall/swimming hole! It really does have something for everyone; bike trails, playgrounds, swimming and great areas for picnics, horseshoes and just hanging out on the green. We have been to all the parks in the area and this is the one my kids consistently beg to come to.
Updated to add: playground is currently closed due to state restrictions but the picnic areas, trails and creeks are all still accessible. Most patrons respect and keep 6ft distance. I feel it is a pretty safe place to exercise social distancing while getting some much needed fresh air.
Updated 7/31/20: Found a Copperhead snake down by the creek today. Please be careful when...
Β Β Β Read moreThe playground and creek are a wonderful combination for children to be wild and free. We have been here many times and it is always a great time. The playground tends to be a bit shaded which is great. There is a restroom and tons of picnic tables. We played in the pouring rain today with Harrisburg Wild + Free group and it was phenomenal. The creek didnβt feel too cold but definitely a strong current at certain parts. Plan to stay a while if you come here but also plan to keep a close eye at the creek. There is some glass bits around the creek area so be careful! we didnβt get hurt but we saw a handful of glass bits here and there. Worth a visit!
