As a retired U.S. Navy veteran, I must say this was THE WORST experience that I had in a long time. I drove past several ice cream parlors to come to The Sweetest Thing. Once my daughter and I came inside, we were never greeted. We stood in front of the homemade ice cream case and waited patiently to be acknowledged. Yet, we never were. We watch the 2 male cashiers make about 3-4 orders. The whole time we weren't spoken to. Soon, an older white customer came inside. The male cashier STOPPED WHAT HE WAS DOING and assisted her. He looked at me twice with a guilty expression on his face. I felt like my daughter and I were in the 50s during segregation.
