As a retired U.S. Navy veteran, I must say this was THE WORST experience that I had in a long time. I drove past several ice cream parlors to come to The Sweetest Thing. Once my daughter and I came inside, we were never greeted. We stood in front of the homemade ice cream case and waited patiently to be acknowledged. Yet, we never were. We watch the 2 male cashiers make about 3-4 orders. The whole time we weren't spoken to. Soon, an older white customer came inside. The male cashier STOPPED WHAT HE WAS DOING and assisted her. He looked at me twice with a guilty expression on his face. I felt like my daughter and I were in the 50s during segregation.

I’ve tried twice now to put in an order here with a delivery service, I know this place gets busy (as do food joints) but each time I’ve ordered, they canceled because they’re too busy. I feel like that isn’t right. Restaurants can’t just cancel orders or stop taking orders when they get busy. Tried this place for the first time and honestly, I’m disappointed. Walked in and wasn’t greeted; the two girls working were busy with online orders and didn’t acknowledge my family. I got a blue raspberry water ice that was super sweet and tasted like cotton candy instead of the usual sour blue raspberry.
