Boot Hill Casino & Resort — Attraction in Kansas

By far the worst casino in Kansas! Very few jackpots are paid in fact look up the rating and you will see for yourself. If you want to help pay the light bill and play out dated slot machines then stop on by. For the last three months they have been replacing carpet so over half of the machines are down and the ones that are running don’t pay. The must have tightened them up to pay for the carpet. The place smells like an ashtray and speaking of ashtrays, if you are a smoker be prepared to ash on the new carpet cuz you can never find a single ashtray. Most of the time I see the housekeeper picking them up as if to clean them but they never return them. I get so disgusted with this casino everything on the hotdog bar reeks of nasty onions, flies in the salsa and the hotdogs I’ve got to be the worst I’ve ever tasted in my life. So for $13, you can get a disgusting hotdog and a bag of chips and a tiny little Styrofoam cup. I believe it to be about 7 ounces and they have recently switched from Pepsi products to Coke, which is disgusting.. so as for food comp, I would have to say that the hotdog bar is the worst, but then the restaurant is not much better. Very few selections weight staff is terrible and the bar management staff is even worse fat lazy don’t do anything to make sure that there is customer satisfaction ever. in my opinion, the boo Hill Casino wants to be a casino, but it reminds me more of a convenience store with a couple of slot machines in it that you’d find down on South Broadway in Wichita, Kansas don’t waste your time or your money. Keep on driving east until you hit the Kansas star casino in Mulvain where it doesn’t smell like an ashtray you actually will win money much more to choose from as far as slot play is concerned, not only that they have a much higher payout and rating.. I really enjoy casinos and playing the slots from now on. I guess I will have to make the trip to Wichita and spend my money there because Boothill casino and resort. I don’t know where they get the resort either by the way has dropped the ball for the last time. y’all need to get it together and get your slots up and running. Decided to stop on my way through Kansas. I got my card and went to get a hotel special. With my room, I got two $25 coupons for free play and two $10 meal coupons. The couple from Texas in front of me got the same deal, with each of them getting a $25 and $10 coupon.it made sense to me. You pay the same for the same package. Wrong. Because I am single, I was traveling by myself. Because I am single, the casino would not allow the same amount for me as the couple. Now, any good gambler will tell you, its not about what you lose, it's about the perks. Any good casino knows that, which is why they give comps in the first place. This couple from Texas was done playing in about an hour.They spent 50 bucks from the casino and 50 bucks they had allotted themselves. I, on the other hand, had allotted myself around 700.00. Right now, I am in their restaurant eating for free. I will then go gamble on their 25 bucks. I will then go back to the motel and repeat this tomorrow and the next day. Eating for free and walking out after their 25 is spent. As I am spending 3 nights, I get three coupons. Because I am single, the casino will keep 75 dollars in comps and 30 in food coupons that I would have received if I was not single. To me, that is discrimination. I am not the type to cry for a lawyer because my feelings got hurt. They aren't hurt. I'm pissed. That's okay. I will go through Deadwood on my way home to S.D. The Deadwood Gulch is where I am a regular. Not only do they comp fairly there, they treat their customers like family from the first time they meet you. It's all a matter of principle with me. Just returned from a bus tour trip to Boot Hill Casino. The slot machines were very tight with not as much variety as casinos I regularly frequent. Most of the machines were the older models. I mostly play blackjack and found the dealers and pit crew very friendly and courteous. The cocktail waitresses were very slow to bring drinks and had to be called for by the pit crew to both take an order and then bring it. The food as a whole was good (but not spectacular) and the service was horrible, especially in the deli. It took two of us 15 minutes standing in line before we could order; the cashier made a mistake on the price of my order, said she couldn't refund the difference but gave me a fudge patty as part of the difference. I was not happy with that especially with a state official standing near me when all of this happened. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes to receive our order only after we stood at the counter waving our number and reminding the cook that we had not received it yet. I came home a winner from the blackjack table but will probably not return as the experience was not that memorable. I understand that this is a state run facility. Maybe the state should consider letting some other entity operate it as a business. If it hadn't been for the two tour buses the facility would have had more employees than customers. When the hotel hospitality person got on the bus to find out how everyone enjoyed the stay, there was literally no response from the passengers. It was an awkward moment and one that I have never encountered.
