Beautiful trail, but needs more warnings about hydration and signs to give directions. Bring extra water with you on your person, especially if traveling with a group. Everyone needs more than one bottle with them in case you get separated which is likely to happen. You will encounter sharp rock paths, lots of sandy paths and dangerous cliff edges. There are alternate trails along the way that can misdirect from where your group is headed. We only brought one water bottle each and it wasn't enough to last all the way to the Makauwahi Cave Reserve and back. This is a 5+/- hour roundtrip hike for tourists going to the cave. Read more11/10 do this trail!!! We did not have the energy or supplies to do any of the big Wimea hikes and this coastal trail, bookended by gorgeous beaches, really scratched the itch. There are interweaving paths of various difficulties so you can pick a new difficulty from bouldering along the cliff shore to a leisurely walk that meanders through the forest and along seaside ridges at every turn.
