For inland, it was great to have tasty seafood rolls, soups, and other food selections. Typically, my husband and I prefer enjoying this type of food along the coast, but every once in a while, we will partake inland. To see the review, scroll to the end.
On Saturday, February 3rd, their Sal Lake food truck came into town, and we ordered ahead on their mobile app to try them out. Upon arrival, we were able to skip the line and only had to wait 5 min after we checked on our order. The sweet thing was that they partnered with Zion Brewery so you could take your food into their establishment. Of course, good business move to get patrons to come on and have a glass of wine, cocktail, beer, or hard cider with their meal....brilliant!! Of course, we did that, duh... ha ha, we love to support our local businesses as much as possible. Whether we live in the city or just visiting.
Review time, what we ordered were two lobster rolls, one being the Conneticut and the other was the Cape Cod (lightly battered and deep fried) on their new England rolls. The Connecticut was a warm sandwich with butter and a lemon. The Cape Cod (lightly breaded/deep fried)was also a warm sandwich but served with tartar sauce and a lemon. Both were tasty, but I prefer non breaded Meats so the Conneticut was my favorite. Their Lobster Bisque was very creamy, however not as flavorful as I thought it would be. I think some salt and pepper would have been nice to add to it. The lobster meat in the (cup) soup was minimal, about half an ounce or a tablespoon. Personally, I would have preferred the soup had been poured, then the meat either on the side so I can add it in or two decent size chunks of meat be added in (approx half a small tail per cup) or shredded so it's a bite of meat in every spoon. I don't know, but I'm just thinking out loud here. The Tots, well, they were typical. Maybe some old bay seasoning on them would have topped it off with these particular sandwiches. Overall, would I have another try yes definitely but it was definitely a treat, not an everyday...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday is Mar 18th, 2024. I visited your food truck in the Smith's parking lot in Draper just before 1:00 p.m. I had always wanted to try the food from one of your trucks. I have to tell you the prices are absurdly high; especially for the quality and presentation of the food. My Maine roll and quesadilla (almost $50.00) were both so soggy that they were almost inedible. There needs to be something done to get the water or other liquids off the lobster meat before putting it on bread, tortilla or whatever. The taste wasn't bad. My quesadilla ($19.00) was cold, though! And the little cup of pico de gallo was very small and inadequate. I didn't order anything with tots, mostly because I view tater tots as "cheap" potato dishes. You need something different than tater tots for food this expensive. Sadly, I probably won't be back, but I hope you implement these changes so that others won't feel the same way I do. I see your overall ratings are only 3.00. Obviously there are a number of other disappointed customers. I knew the food would be expensive, but the experience should have been first class for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRarely do I start a review like this but Utah is a strange place with food and reviews. Not a utahn and traveled the world tasting foods.
Most the reviews you will find here want to pay pennies for food and don't understand cost of business to bring actual lobster from Maine. This is fantastic lobster! Not farmed, worth every penny. If you really want more bang for your buck get the tots (way more calories because of tots) but if you want somthing very fresh and delicious, the tacos are fantastic! Pico is fresh, worth the wait from order to table. Pico is also fridge kept so it's cold, and if you understand how hot and cold things work when mixed, your tots will cool down so best to eat I'm car or less then 5 min drive.
The kids menu is pretty good and more food then my little one could eat.
Highly...
