Keller Public Library — Attraction in Keller

It's great to have a library that is open seven days a week.

While I have no real complaints about the Fort Worth Library in our old neighborhood (Summerglen Branch), the fact it was only open 5 days a week was a tad annoying... Especially when it seemed like I always got my hold notification on Friday, when the library is closed.

So while the Keller City Library is not as big as the Fort Worth Library, through the shared catalog system, anything in the Fort Worth system can be requested via Keller. Also, if I'm in a real hurry, the Keller library card can be used in Fort Worth (and vice versa).

Staff at both libraries are great, but with only one library in Keller, it does seem a bit more personal. Nice going Keller!

PS. Has a tendency to get very noisy, has neither parents nor staff make any attempt at preserving...

I absolutely love this place! Get past the fact that you have to first go to a Fort Worth library to get your library card. After you do that you will have access to all the books, videos and music that the Fort Worth library system has to offer. That would include the inventory of roughly 10 Fort Worth libraries as well as Keller, Haltom City and Watauga. That is a great trade! You will also have access to Freegal for which you are allowed to download 5 MP3 files per week. So far I have downloaded three complete volumes of "Learn in your Car - Japanese" and the first two volumes of German.

As for the library itself, it's really nice and the ladies working there have always been pleasant. If you reserve online you can also go to the drive up pickup window and drop off...
