Big Shanty Park — Attraction in Kennesaw

Nice quiet park and soccer fields my cousin used to play soccer here we would go to her games every weekend the field was always kept in great condition the car cuz always clean never had any issues with anybody ever please drive around to make sure everything is safe and keep everything in order it's a great family park hang around and enjoy the outdoors if you're in the area I highly recommend walking around is a playground free park does have a sign when you walk in and tells you about the parking when it closes information that you may need like I said it's a great family park close by if you're in the Kennesaw area I highly recommend you...

My family has a great time at Big Shanty playing sports. However, the soccer fields are in pretty rough shape due to high use and the times of year of high use. A few ideas come to mind. The land between the upper soccer field and the tennis courts seems suitable to build two more fields, add additional parking and restrooms. Or maybe just turf the existing fields over winter. Or do it all and give the park more longevity for growth. This year, there are practices starting at 5pm. Sorta crazy for working parents. Pretty park, great place for a baseball tournament (when the bathrooms are fixed). Baseball stands are covered in a mesh so it helps with the sun and stray balls. There are bleachers and also spots to put your chairs. There is a concession stand when tournaments are happening. Plenty of parking even if you may have to walk some. Nice playground for the kids.
