Not too crowded, nice shaded and sunny areas along the path. The creek and bridge are not a prominent destination or anything, but if you want a woodsy feel, this trail will do for one set in the middle of the city.

Great trail, friendly people on the same trek. Went in early May so there wasn’t too much wildlife. Could hear frogs, saw lots of birds. Especially Red Winged Black Birds. It is dog friendly.

This is about a 1.5 mile trail (each way) and has a rougher side trail that runs (mostly) parallel. It is mildly uphill from 7th to just shy of 27th (crossing 15th at about the halfway point). Overall it is pleasantly natural feeling, despite being in the middle of town. It's partially paved, partially gravel and partially dirt. It's biggest down side is that the dirt parts can be slick and muddy...

The playground is nice, great for small children . But we were not impressed with the trail. There were several areas that people were camping out, it's overgrown and unkept in many spots and honestly I wouldn't have felt safe if my husband had not been with me. It's a bummer because I could see this being a really lovely place to hike if it was just better managed...

aka The Spirit of America Trail. A quiet 1-mile trail from the gravel parking lot to the playground and back made for a nice easy 2-mile (RT) fall jog. I saw one e-bike, a couple hikers, a flock of quail, one cat, and one woman walking her dog. Lots of fall color, no homeless campers. I did see lots of trash and caution I picked up a lot of goat head thorns in my...
