Hansen Park Plaza — Attraction in Kennewick

[Note, this is a review of the Hansen Park public park itself, not the Hanson Park plaza, which is just a small strip mall that now contains both a frozen yogurt place and sage brewing's tap room, in addition to a Yoga studio, pet grooming, dentist, and Air Force recruiter.]

This is a nice neighborhood park with some play equipment for the youngest, and lots of wide open grassy space to fly kites, play ball, or just walk or run. You'll find kids' sports teams (soccer, for instance) practicing during the season.

There are several businesses in this plaza. I went to Hansen Park Fitness. It was a nice, clean gym with a pleasant atmosphere and a variety of equipment. They had a circuit set up for quick total body work outs, different types of cardio equipment with many of each available, and both free weights and weight machines. I was there around 6:00 pm on a Saturday, and there wasn't many people. I was able to try out all but one piece of equipment that I was interested in, and they all seemed well maintained.
