Well let's just say that the place was a funeral home before a restaurant, I told my self I wouldn't go because I'd walk out dead, unfortunately 3rd day opened kids wanted milkshakes, so me and my daughter go and picked up everyone a milkshake, 3 peanut butter milk shakes and one kid's cup, after drinking the milk shakes not even 2 minutes later we all got sicker than a dog, I personally don't have a issue with the people that are working there, but I do have a problem being served something that made us sick and waisted money I didn't have to waist, no more eating @ rex restaurant in Nancy Kentucky , won't do no good to talk to owner they act stuck up because they have more money than they know what to do with, sorry rex I even saved ur dog one day from being hit in the DG parking lot and this is the thanks I get, I hope you can stay in business long enough to recoup the money you waisted on place, now I'm just watching people dieing...
Read moreIf you're looking for good, downhome country cooking, drive out to Nancy and check this place out. Hubby and I had lunch there today and we loved it. He had the pork tenderloin, coleslaw and a baked potato. I had the meatloaf, green beans and macaroni and tomatoes. Neither of us cared for the slaw but it sure seems to be popular with everyone else. I have to mention, this is the only restaurant I have ever been to that does macaroni and tomatoes right, and we eat out a lot. It's one of my go-to comfort foods from childhood and this was just as good as my momma used to make. I might get a big order to go next time. Read moreThe staff was welcoming and the waitress was very attentive. The place was clean and the dining room was fine. The food was quite a disappointment. I got a vegetable plate, hoping for some good country cooking, but it was not good. Canned green beans, plain macaroni shells with velveeta poured on the top, fried taters were oil soaked and flavorless, and deviled eggs that tasted like they were picked up from Kroger. My mother got chili and a grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was not melted, and would have fallen out of the bread if she wasn’t holding it together. The chili looked like ground beef with a can of tomatoes poured in.
