Crandon Park Marina — Attraction in Key Biscayne

The fees are high and they have a scam with the parking!!! First you need to pay the bridge fee to go to key biscayne, and with the trailer it depends on the number of axles, more axels more $. Then u get to the marina launch and park in the designated area, the signs reads: way of payments: Ticket via machine or phone. We paid by phone and to our surprised came back after 5H to see a ticket on the windshield: FAILED TO PAY!!! Looked at the sign again saw that that we had both payment choices, walked around, and at the entrance you have an A frame plastic board about 5 by 3 feet saying that there is a city ordonnance that they can not verify that you paid by phone so you need to display your receipt from the machine on the dashboard!!! Again this sing is not obvious the font is small and when you enter to park you are looking for a spot and do not look where the sign is! I think 80 to 90% of the people will miss the sign. So we paid by phone, prkg enforcement came and gave us a fine of 23.00$ on top of the parking fees we paid! now you have to waist your time and try to fight it in court or just pay the 23$ what they are counting on. What a scam! If you really want the people to know modify the sign that tells you you can pay by phone and put: 'MUST DISPLAY PRKG RECEIPT ON DASH, NO PAY BY PHONE" Really angry at the city...

The launch fee is a rip off of $16 no matter the size of your water craft, we have a jetski that is overpriced. On top of that it was not well listed that you needed to wait for a park employee to direct your vehicle for launching. We did not see the guy and he got irate with us and threatened to throw us out of the park when we apologized for not seeing him or knowing how their launch worked. He continued to scream at us and threaten to eject us even after we apologized. He said we were endangering people, when we were pulling into an empty ramp with nobody waiting to go out or in. He directed us to a launch area after he sent us around that had a jetski to close to the ramp that wouldn't move and if they are worried about safety they should have someone directing the people pulling water craft out, it was very...

It's a great spot with good location and ramps. I'm a regular user, often taking my kids out for a boat ride. Unfortunately, they abruptly close the access without any notice to users about when it will reopen. What's even worse, there's a woman working as a park guard who is always at the entrance. She takes it upon herself to mistreat and shout in the rudest and most discourteous manner at any user who tries to approach and ask questions. Last weekend, my family and I were subjected to this treatment, and it was a really unpleasant experience. I don't understand how the county allows such behavior from public officials who are meant to serve the community, especially considering that we, as taxpayers, fund their services.
