We stopped here first day on our trip to the Keys. We found David very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. He spend almost an hour telling us about they Keys and and its history. David asked us what we wanted to do and then set up some attractions for us. We weren't able to make it to our first one and had to forfeit our deposit, no ones fault and totally understandable. For our second activity, David told us about a fantastic sunset cruise that came with a Caribbean style buffet and open bar. Dave "guaranteed" it wouldn't be like others that pack you in like sardines because he wouldn't like it so he wouldn't sign anyone up to something like that. Well we signed and headed for Key West and got to the boat at 5:30, boarding started at 6pm. The line was huge to say the least. Boat had a sign that read 125 max occupancy and there were at least that many waiting. We did decide to go since we had already paid. After everyone was crammed into the top deck with enough seating for maybe 15 the started dinner. We went below for the buffet and the dining room could possibly seat 30 and there was over 100. Food was ok but they ran out of alot. We went back topside to grab a drink and was told only certain cocktails were included and tap beer. All other drinks were 8 to 10 bucks each. It was SO crowded that you couldn't dance, sit or enjoy. My wife told me to try and make the best of it and we did. Bottom line, dont believe everything you are told. Do some homework and be prepared. Also you can get these activities for the EXACT same price by booking yourself with coupons that you can find all over the internet and in coupon books all over the keys....

The Keys are truly broken up into three sections ... Upper, Middle, and Lower. Each section has their own visitor center. Each center specializes in thier section of the Keys. All of the centers are well staffed with very friendly and knowledgeable people. They truly do what it takes to help you on your island adventure. One can book sight seeing tours, snorkeling, reef fishing, sport fishing, a number of fun activities right from thier office. They provide maps, tips on the local hotspots, lodging info , boat ramp info, beach offerings, the list goes on and on. All that being said, the Key Largo visitors center holds a special place in my heart because it truly is the gate way to the perfect Keys adventure. It's always...
