Not worth the time or money unfortunately. It used to be a somewhat interesting museum as well as a cool fort to explore however the years have not been kind to the business clearly. Most exhibits I previously found interesting have been removed, many replaced by some ugly junkyard sculptures from an artist whose work the staff pointed out as "an eyesore". Couldn't agree more. Robert the doll is clearly the only draw the museum has at this point. No tour guide, noisy summer camp activities going on in the courtyard ruining quiet enjoyment of the fort, next to no exhibits worth seeing, and on top of all that the staff is disrespectful about their mask policy and force you to wear it the entire time in 100 degree weather. When we found out we had to wear masks the whole time and the staff enforce it, we nearly turned on our heels and left. The only reason we paid admission at that point was because one of our party members desperately wanted to see Robert the Doll (which is ultimately boring too). One group of probably 6 people decided they would not put up with the nonsense and turned and walked out. I wish we had done the same and saved our money. Mask mandate is OVER, especially in Florida. Do not force your paranoia on everyone else and be rude when they don't want to comply. I promise you the Fort East Martello Museum staff do NOT know better than the CDC and there is absolutely no reason to enforce these blatantly ill informed rules. I suspect the staff just doesn't care of people come or not because it's likely government funded. Add some more exhibits and swap out your staff, that might start to save...

I’ve never been to this museum in person, but had seen the videos that Sam and Colby made on YouTube in regards to Robert. I believe I’ve upset Robert by being on FaceTime with my mom while watching the YouTube video about him. Although I didn’t show her him, because that would be disrespectful without permission first from Robert. I believe I’ve still upset him by maybe making mention I was watching him and that I did have another line of communication open. Over the last week and a half, both my mother and I have been experiencing strange occurrences around our homes, things out of place objects wise and also things like scratches, bruises, night terrors, weird smells, seeing shadow people both in the day time, the night time and in our dreams. Last night my mom had a tachycardia attack and had to be rushed to the hospital. She’s okay now though. Myself I’ve been having reoccurring infections in different parts of my body, my daughters been having sleep paralysis. Robert, I genuinely apologize and I only intended to watch the YouTube video with pure respect. I truly understand and do believe your power. I apologize for disrespecting you in any way and only wish you the best. I never intended to disturb you, I only wish you well and really hope that everyone else who visits you or learns about you shows great respect too. I apologize. I wish to save up money and to even visit in person to apologize as well. I understand how upset you are and I very much find your power incredible but I do truly apologize...

Wow, where to begin! We arrived on a Sunday morning, and we were quickly greeted by several roosters. It was around 10 am, and we practically had the place to ourselves. We entered, and a gentleman welcomed us. I want to say his name is Steve. Although I could be mistaken. You could tell immediately that he loved his job. He is the main reason for this review... and we were so grateful to talk with him before and after we completed our trek throughout.

Upon our beginning, we stumbled upon an old dugout canoe. It was mesmerizing to think, this was actually used at one point in time. As we proceeded, we turned the corner and saw Robert The Doll. Out of respect, I didn't photograph him... however, we did leave him a handwritten note. Next to Robert is an old Casket carriage. In the reflection of the carriage glass appeared a sinister face, which we can't explain. We also felt a heaviness on our chest when entering the citadel, and as soon as we exited, it dissipated. Think what you will... but we believe.

This is a visit you...
