The Key West airport is tiny and this bar is the only one after security. Although the outside does look a bit dated, it was nice to have a drink in the open air before we left Key West. We chose a picnic table in the shade, and there was also a large fan, making it very comfortable. The bar had a decent selection of craft beer on tap (yes at airport prices). The line did get long as more flights got closer to departure. Bartenders were great about answering questions about drink and menu options.

The Cuban sandwich 🥪 was OK. The service was quick and friendly. My issue is with the pricing. I paid $13.98 for a $6.50 sandwich. I guess it's to be expected, seeing how you have no other choice but to get it from them. They could put a little bit more meat in it and maybe offer fillers like tomato and / or lettuce to help it along.

I This bar is near the gates where the planes leave, hence the name. From what I could see it's guite crowded and service is slow. I wouldn't chance it if you have only a few minutes till your flight but if you have a hour or so before your flight its a decent place to have a drink and some bar type food.

I wanted some diet sodas for me and my wife. I walked around looking for them and the cashier kept giving me dirty looks. I had a muscle shirt on, so that may have made me look intimidating. I don't know. I got the sodas and there was someone paying at the cash register and someone else to their left, so I stood third in line. Another group of people came up with many items and stood in back of the person at the register, forming a second line. The cashier looked at me and said the line is where they are, expecting me to get behind the group that showed up after me. She then cashed out the person next to me who was also in the "wrong" line. She hated me to begin with, so what chance did I have? I left the sodas on the floor and saved about $8.00 in overpriced airline garbage. Note to the manager. You cannot have a woman who is afraid of men working in a customer service environment. She's going to hate about half of the customers before they walk...

My friend and I were waiting for our flight at key west airport and went to the only bar/shop inside the departures terminal and purchase drink and snacks and sat inside. Manager showed up after and said that we needed to leave because we were not drinking or eating, I said we had purchase items already he informed us that we had to leave and sit by the gate. Among us there are many other people sitting in there as well, the lady next to us was using a laptop and had been sitting there way before we arrived, she’s not consuming anything sold there so why are we being asked to leave, the only difference between us and these other people is that we are Hispanic and are speaking Spanish... is that why this gentleman asked us to leave? Is this any way to treat customers! Highly disappointed and extremely concerned that this things...

I’ve been traveling to Key West for about 30 years. I have always enjoyed the Key West airport to unwind a bit prior to boarding my flight back to Chicago. That all changed today when Warren, the manager of this establishment decided to literally ram me with his push cart full of items. Upon saying something to him he admitted to ramming my backpack which must have then hit me. Warren then decided we could not be served (I was trying to buy a water). He called the airport sheriffs on me after he assaulted me. Funny once the sheriffs arrived and footage was reviewed, I received an apology and a free bottle of water. I will NEVER spend my hard earned money at this establishment again while Warren...
