First the bad: Crossing the street and walking to the trailhead from the parking lot was a pain with 3 kids, two dogs, and no real shoulder. Now the good: pretty much everything else. The trail was short but challenging enough to be a decent workout. The views were great. The trails were dog friendly. The hike is very family friendly. Only thing the kids didn't like was the no climbing/going off trail.

The actual trail entrance is a few steps south of the Hawk Falls parking lot. You have to walk along the side the road (about 200 feet) to get to the trail entrance. We didn't see any signs in the lot - several families were standing around confused at first - so hopefully this info is helpful to others. 😀

Gorgeous hike to Hawk Falls and it's very quick with light rocks and some brief steep parts. For the record, it is possible to pull this off with a stroller, but it's not easy and you need a serious stroller (we brought the Thule jogging stroller and it managed but not easily)

Absolutely beautiful trail and falls. You aren't allowed on any of the side trails, can't picnic, can't wade in the water, climb, explore, swim. You are allowed to walk to the falls and back and that's it. Endless signs telling you this were kind of annoying 😑 worth the walk, just don't expect to relax and enjoy an afternoon or anything. Tons of people...

Pretty trail and waterfall. The trail is marked well. Recommend sneakers or hiking boots. Do not make the mistake of wearing flip flops like I saw some doing. The trail is rocky and has roots through various places. Fun little hike. Bonus points for being able to bring the pups. We did have to wait for a parking spot however it was only a...
