Paradise Golf & Arcade — Attraction in Kill Devil Hills

Don't go!!! Rip off! It's $10.00 per person for go carts. You get about 4 or 5 labs around track. It's $8.00 for bumper cars. They had two running. It's $1.00 for two credit for the arcade. Game are 4 to 8 credits each. So $2.00 for $4.00 each game!!! You put money on a card to play games. Sometimes you swipe the card but don't get to play. Then when you try to redeem you electronic tickets for prizes the machine doesn't work!!! So no prizes for the kids!!! I brought this up to the employees. They said it happens all the time. At one point acted like it was my fault. She even asked if I was local. When she knows I am not. That what they bank on. Out of towner's pay a bunch of money, get ripped off and laughed at when you are upset about it. But they already have your money so it doesn't matter. I would recommend any place but this one. We have been coming to the outer banks many years and I have never had such horrible time at any place here like I did today!

Edit- so you are saying that I am not correct that I didn't get any prizes after spending a good amount of money on cards to play games? Also the people who work there said it happens all the time. I would try to play a game and it would say no new player at this time. Are you saying I was the only one? Because that was NOT the case. Many people were having trouble getting prize machine to work. After going to destination fun we had no trouble getting cards to work and was able to redeem tickets for prizes very easily. I would definitely go back there but your place never again. And that also shows that if other places the games work with wifi then your places is just trying to rip people off. I cannot say enough good things about this recreation area. We visit every time we go to the beach and we have a routine, once while we are there and once on our way home at the minimum. We visit the outer banks several times during the year so we are here often. This location is consistently clean, well maintained, the employees are friendly and my kids always have a blast. When I mention it is clean I am not exaggerating, the arcade is spotless, go karts are clean and well kept, bathrooms clean and fresh. It is noticeable that they take time to maintain this property. Also, on our last visit my husbands wallet fell out of his pocket while riding go karts. He did not realize it was lost until several hours later. The owner had gone out of his way to make sure my husband could locate his wallet. Not only did the guys who work out at the go karts make sure it went right to the office when it was located, the owner managed to find my husband on facebook and sent him a message letting him know it was there.
