What an utterly embarrassing room they tried to put us in. A level of filth you wouldn't expect from the cheapest motel, nevermind a pricy condo at a ski resort. I mean, stains from trash all over the walls around the bin? Small, black, round pellets in the silverware drawer (now what could that be)? An actual stained mattress folded up in the closet? While they did move us to another room (the only reason this isn't a 1 star review), we had to stay in the gross room for the first night. Service in rectifying the situation was poor - total lack of urgency and communication. We had to call them several times the first evening, and it was pulling teeth to get them to do anything at all. Despite several requests for management to contact me, we were stuck dealing with whoever was on the phone as a middle man. We were supposed to have a new room the following day by 3pm. By 3:30 we hadn't heard anything all day, so I called them. No information, so they said they'd call housekeeping and call me back. 4 o'clock comes around and, you guessed it, no call still. So we check in again, and still no one knows what is going on. Finally we get a call back that the room is ready, nearer to 5pm. I ask again for a call or email from management, which now a week later has still not materialized. They are honest with their name at least: "Get Away"!

This condo at Pico was awful, and I have never given a bad review online because I am not a mean spirited person. For $535 a night, it was bad smelling, shabby and sad. The toilet was not functioning, there was bare spackle on the wall, broken curtains and the tv didn't work. It WAS clean, but the owners and managers should SEE what is broken. When I complained after, I was told I should have said something at the time. The place was like a ghost town, and with so many things wrong, I didn't want a bunch of people in the apartment for a renovation during my vacation. For $535+ a night, I expected better.

Awesome house, we had a blast. The house was brand new - and no neighbors, which was great! The only issue we had was that the alarm was on when we arrived, but I was able to get someone on the phone rather quickly to fix the issue. The house is 10/15 min drive from the mountain and close enough to the bars, so that they are able to pick you up, no problem. We very easily slept 7 people. I also loved how the house came equipped with lots of games - perfect ski house! I only wish they had a hot tub - maybe down the road they will add that!

We had a nice stay at Winter Lore. It’s a great location between Rutland and Killington, immediately off Route 4. We liked that it was private as it sits at the end of a road with no thru traffic. There is even a beautiful rocky stream below, although it wasn’t easily accessible.

The main house is welcoming and functional, with updated décor and furniture. With four bedrooms it accommodated our family of 8 quite comfortably. There is a large family room, a side covered deck, a sunroom and three updated bathrooms with plenty of hot water. The kitchen and large dining room table were great for meals and playing games. Most of the rooms have large screen televisions with great WiFi service (good for streaming and working on laptops during the day).

During the cool evenings we enjoyed campfires (with plenty of firewood) and played a shuffleboard game inside. The beds were comfortable and sleeping was great with the fresh mountain air streaming through the house! Apparently a hot tub is going to be added on the grounds too.

New to the area, we found plenty of supermarkets (Grand Union is the closest) and a few spots for dining, including the nearby Sugar and Spice restaurant and Hops on the Hill in Killington, with a nice beer selection. We also enjoyed great takeout pizza from Ramunto’s in Rutland.

We had only one lighting issue and it was repaired within the hour. Overall a great experience in a private setting. Would stay again, if...

The place does look as it is in the pictures; though it had everything we needed it is very dated and in need of updating/repairs. The ceiling was sagging in a few spots and paint was peeling in the washroom. It was advertised as having a fireplace and it was there with instructions but seeing no tools or signs of recent fires we asked a neighbor who informed us that the chimneys had been removed from all units MULTIPLE YEARS ago!!! Thank god we didn't light a fire!! Place is not well equipped for cooking, we saw only one small frying pan which was all scratched up. The one large burner on the stove was crooked and would not hold a pot/pan level. There was an older flat screen TV in the living room and there was a remote for a cable box but service had been disconnected. The TV was not connected to the internet so you could not use any streaming services. You must bring your own source for TV entertainment. There was a VHS and DVD player. There was a dart board but no darts. The two best things about this property were the proximity to the parking lot and the pool/hot tub/ gym which is in another building. We did not feel this was a good value for...
