Semi - crowded, the main K-1 lodge is in the middle of a renovation, during peak season 😳 Many amenities were closed or shifted to buildings in other areas of the park. You'll pay mountain prices for everything $7.00, Gatorade, $5.00 for water, $10.00 for 12oz draft etc...
Excellent lifts: gondola, blue dome, even open four seatters were all working keeping the lines flowing nicely. We never waited more than 3 min....
Totally the best mountain on the East Coast!🤘 As good if not better than Breckenridge, CO for comparison. Double blacks🖤🖤 everywhere, Olympic training rail systems and jumps all within the rail parks. 🎿
Beginning skiiers should learn at smaller mountains like McIntyre in Manchester, NH before coming here. The bunny 🐇 slopes and training areas were one big wipeout zoo.
Lots of shuttles, great food in town. Recommend booking 5 -8 months out for a better rate on lodging, rentals, lessons if needed. I will be coming back as my go to for the east coast.....Killington...
Read moreExceeds all expectations. Clean and spacious, crowded on busy long weekends. Staff is helpful but lines can be long wait. They have 2-3 reps to help at the service desk. Self check scanners for checking your RFID card for the information are available at the lodge and faster if you need to check quickly if tickets are loaded.
Parking lots are always busy and full on weekends. If someone is dropping you off then you can take the car up to the steps at loading unloading zone: be mindful of the buses and other vehicles; lots of skiers walking and kids running.
K1 Gondola will take you to Killington peak. It’s a nice long run combination of Greens and blues. Jamaican lodge has good food for lunch/snack stop. K-1 Lodge has restrooms and tables chairs but always taken and busy on weekends as usual. We come here every year and it’s always nice.
Accessible parking and entrance for special needs also...
Read moreThe new lodge is beautiful. It is close to the gondola and provides adequate space to put on your boots. However, overcrowding persists despite this being such a large new space. How to address this? Unsure. Perhaps parking limits at K-1 would help? Seems a shame that after creating a new structure it is still undersized. The prices for food are absolutely not justifiable. I went to buy a Gatorade and was told it was $10. I put it back.
