Read moreThis place was my first outdoor experience here in North Carolina and it was such a beautiful first. Stunning waterfall and so easy to get to. This is a lovely hike through some forest area and then a sharp decline of stairs and various lookouts to get to the falls. The rest of the kids made it up fine. The lookout points make for a nice break area if you need to stop and catch your breath. The falls are gorgeous!! I can only imagine what it looks like in the summer or fall with more foliage. Nonetheless even for the end of January I found it to be breathtaking. Looking forward to exploring the rest...
