Excellent spot for a Saturday after visiting the Route 66 attractions downtown Kingman. Parking was easy to find I recommend a slow cautious entry it is a Lil hilly and narrow in some spots, no complaints though cause it's free and well worth it. The trails at the intro takes you to the loop, it's worth having a trail map or pic of the map and a compass cause it is extremely easy to get off the beaten path to check out an amazing nature made monolith or stunning view. You Might get to see some Big horned steers and a couple Jack rabbits on the trek as well. I give the spot 5 stars would even call it a poor man's Sedona but it supercedes that with its very own uniqueness.....

Just...wow. I didn't imagine there was such beauty in the desert near Kingman, AZ. It reminds me of the Granite Dells in Prescott: sun-worn, ancient rock formations for miles, with the Hualapais in the background. I tended to stop after work, near sunset, and the moon was waxing toward full. The light as the sun descends behind the plateau to the west is magical. The trails range in length and difficulty. Download a map beforehand or use alltrails or a similar app. It's easy to construct a loop journey to your liking and ability. Don't forget water! You can park off the highway on the way to Kingman from Golden Valley, or at the other end of the park just to the west of town.

This was a really great excursion to get out of the car and stretch your legs for a couple hours. I didn't look carefully enough at the map before I went so I ended up walking quite a bit further than I had planned. There are sections that look a little bit like a miniature monument valley. My cell phone pictures do not do it justice. Definitely bring water and prepare, there's essentially no shade. Thoroughly enjoyable few hours if you stop often taking too many pictures.

All solo hikers pls be aware.. trails are poorly marked, diffuclut to navigate with many intertwined paths. Today i hiked solo with a MapsMe app. After i triped on a rock my phone screen got damaged, i totally got lost in the intertwining trails. No hikers around, no way to find the marks of human foot prints. Hours of struggling to find the clue to get out of wilderness with the pressure of sunset approching. i must said its God who helped me. with all my strength and God's guiding, i climbed off rocks desending to highway road side, waved my hands high and lip read "call police". The passing by truckdrivers who saw me and called sent a police to me and saved mylife. I do care very much about who walk solo often to be aware this trails are difficult to navigate alone... Pls be prepared with 2...

Mountain biked Monolith Loop and can't wait to get back - lots of off-shoots and side-loops to explore. It is a bit confusing back there so make sure to bring a map (I used MTB Project app).

The trails vary between small loose rock, slickrock, and packed gravel/sand/dirt. Great for hiking, biking, and horseback. Great scenery most of the way. "The saddle" is the highlight of this area. A couple cool rock towers with good views from up high.

Few people on the trails and all were extremely friendly. A few hikers, a few bikers, and a coupe on horseback. Still feels desolate back there though.

Definitely worth checking out! Good post-ride food and drinks close by in...
