Every time I go here in-between working for Uber,thier are dogs running around no leashes ever and some days thier can be 10 or more at any one given time,most owners have no leashes in site. Allowing your dogs to run free. Run everywhere in front of traffic onto people's car doors. When someone gets out or run upon someone's children and or other dogs. It's just a matter of time before somebody gets hurt or someone's animal gets hurt and then what then. Not to mention that every time you turn around the parking lot from one end to the other has not been blown out. It's trashy it's dirty. I picked up two screws in my tires. Very expensive to sit here and come to the park where you feel you should be safe from everything but are not and there's workers there all the time doing nothing more than driving around or their precious baseball fields. For all you old shoolers this used to be Riverfront Park which is now Domtar Park "just a little info". Any who I love to come here and just relax. There are a number of things to do here. They have a playground for your children, you can fish, feed the ducks and geese, but watch out during nesting season the geese can be pretty territorial, and they have a swinging bridge which goes across the Holston River. Little bit of history the island that the swinging bridge goes to is called Long island and at one point all seven clans of the Cherokee Nation used to meet here and have a huge party and trade their goods and stuff.
