I absolutely have to wonder where all the high marks are coming from, as this is by far the worst thai restaurant BOTH myself and my boyfriend have ever been to. The service was nice, but the food...lets just start with the fact that we were in what claims to be a thai restaurant...a place that will always have coconut milk. I asked for my thai tea with coconut milk and was refused. At first they told me they didnt have any, lol. So i questioned this...a thai restaurant with no coconut milk? So she tells me that they only use it for cooking because it wouldnt be good in the tea. Hmmm. So then i oredered two dishes that have coconut milk...my favorites, Tom kha and red coconut curry. The tom kha did not resemble Tom kha whatsoever. It was extremely salty, missing galangal, not even the essence of the sweetness that should come with coconut milk, just this salty milky broth with some mushrooms...gross beyond words, i took out the veggies and added them to my curry...which was also missing the sweetness associated with coconut milk. I now know why the tea would be terrible with their coconut milk...the food is too. My guy got pad thai with shrimp. It looked good and he usually will demolish his food but he wasn't happy either. I didn't try it since I wouldnt have liked it with shrimp anyway. We won't be returning, they really need to check their ingredients and stop pinching pennies on garbage. If you want good thai food, check someplace else this is not it...at least not from the three dishes we had that we are usually...

Three of us went to Thai Riverside today for the first time for a late lunch after going to an arts and crafts show in Kingsport. The parking lot is small, but we managed to find a spot. We were worried that there would be no available tables inside but there were plenty. The menu had a nice variety of options for appetizers, soups and salads, various types of entrees, and a couple of desserts. We ordered spring rolls and fried pork dumplings as appetizers. For entrees, I had the yellow curry with tofu, my husband had the green curry with chicken, and my sister had the shrimp mango curry. Everything was served hot and fast by pleasant wait staff, and the food was absolutely delicious. Prices were a little steep, but the quality of the food was well worth it. Portions were good sized too, and we all took enough home for another meal. We will definitely be eating here again when we're...

This has happened before, and I thought it was because of the late hour that I picked up my order. I was wrong… I got a large , Heavy Container of drunken noodles. Seemed to get enough beef some freshly cooked some like dark pieces of leather. One little ear of corn six little strips of onion four carrots and maybe a total of five or six little strips of pepper green and orange. That’s pretty bad. Actually, it really stinks! Picking up takeout is a treat for me, after working all day I was looking forward to the mixture of veggies beef and drunken noodles. I don’t even know if that’s a quarter of a serving of vegetables by anybody standards certainly wasn’t a serving there’s noodles for 10 people. I can’t afford to go back there to...

My wife and I don't eat out much anymore, but we were really wanting some Thai curry and happened to be in Kingsport, TN. Found Thai Riverside kinda by accident, it's a smaller restaurant easy to miss if you're not paying attention, anyway I got the Fancy Chicken, my wife got the red curry with chicken and our daughter got red curry with tofu... My chicken arrived in a pineapple half, and it was the best darn chicken dish, besides my wife's, that I had ever had!! 🤤 Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the service was very attentive and courteous! If you're looking for Thai food in the Tri-cities look no further, you will not be disappointed!

My husband, friends, and I had a wonderful early dinner experience here! We sat on the patio overlooking the river, which added to the ambiance. Our server was fantastic - attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. One highlight was when I requested extra spicy drunken noodles, and our server asked me to rate my desired level of heat from 1-5. I chose 3, and it was spot on! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great dining experience. *Pro Tip:* Don't hesitate to ask for modifications - the staff is happy to accommodate your requests!

If you're craving robust Thai dishes full of flavor, this is the place. We had Pad Thai and Massaman Curry. Spice level 1 in the Pad Thai had just a little bit of kick to give the dish warmth. The curry was bursting with creamy coconut and peanut flavor. The portions were moderate and prices slightly higher than expected, however both were delicious. We also had the Thai tea. Best of all, the wait staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. The restaurant is small and sits next to the river with small outdoor seating. We will definitely come back when we're in the area.
