We were in real need of a new mattress. Our original Tempur-pedic mattress was 19 years old (it lasted a good, long time), and it was time for a replacement. We definitely wanted to check out the new Tempur-pedic mattresses that are available, so our first stop was to The Sleep Zone in Kingsport, TN. We purchased our original Tempur-pedic from them in Feb. 2003 and our daughter's new mattress set three years ago. We received excellent service both of those times, which is why they were our first stop. After almost an hour, we narrowed our choice down to one particular Tempur-pedic mattress with Erik's help. (He also helped us purchase our daughter's mattress three years earlier.) We truly appreciated the information Erik provided us concerning the different mattresses that were sold there, but what made his help the most valuable was his patience and kindness. Still, we were interested in seeing other options that The Sleep Zone did not carry (Purple and latex mattresses), so we got a quote and made our way to other places. We had determined that if we liked the Tempur-pedic best, we would go back to The Sleep Zone. Well, we (and by "we" I mean me) didn't really care for the other styles of mattresses. It was late, so we went home. First thing this morning, I texted Erik to make sure he would reserve the last available mattress (in the style and size we wanted) until I could get into the store today to finalize the purchase. He was as friendly this morning as he was yesterday. We finalized the sale, which included a mattress protector cover, and shook hands. I am looking forward to me new mattress arriving soon. By the way, did I mention that they don't work on commission (a HUGE plus), they offer free delivery, and they will remove our old mattress at no expense? How great is that? We think it's absolutely wonderful, which is why we will always stop at The Sleep Zone for future...
Read moreMy husband and I have been in need of a new mattress for a long time. We had our last one over 18 years. I suffer from carpal tunnel, acid reflux, and many years of lower back pain. Working in veterinary medicine for over 23 years has taken a toll on me. My husband has issues with back pain and sleep apnea, and after working as an electrician for 30 years, comfortable sleep is a must. When we began researching mattresses, we were interested in a bed that had adjustable positions. My husband decided to go to The SleepZone store last minute. Honestly, I was not excited. I dread dealing with any type of "salesperson." My husband will tell you that I have no patience for smoke blowing and pitches to buy anything. It irritates me, and I have no trouble letting them know. Give it to me straight, no fluff, and don't try to be cute. LOL. When we walked in the store, we were politely greeted by Todd Whitehead. He let us know he would answer any questions we might have. He did not hover and pressure us to make a purchase, let alone steer us toward the most expensive bed. He helped us make a decision based on our needs, and the experience was one of the best we have ever had. He is friendly, attentive, but not pushy. His purpose is to help you get what you need and is very willing and able to explain all of the options and features. We immediately felt welcome, and most importantly, I was very relaxed. That is huge for me, I don't trust anyone. We talked about life, our pets, and of course our needs to make life easier in getting up every morning. LOL. We love our new mattress and the ability to change our sleeping position. We are especially pleased with how our experience went in dealing with the best salesperson ever, Todd Whitehead. Thank you, Steven and...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went mattress shopping. We just got us a house, young couple just starting out, and honestly realized we didn't know as much as we thought about mattresses. We went to two different Grand stores, Mattress Firm, Denver Mattress, just to name a few.
We already knew our budget, but didn't know if we liked firm, soft, plush, etc. We tried out many different ones and we both concluded that we liked soft.
We had heard a lot about the online mattresses/ bed in a box, so we went and felt a Purple, Casper, and Nectar (by Casper). We were not too impressed. We made our way to The Sleepzone, and tested out the Sealy's.
When we arrived at the store(sleepzone) we were politely greeted by Erik Biorck. He immediately asked us what we were looking for. He went through a small series of questions to get an idea of what we wanted. After answering his questions he immediately took us over to a bed (Sealy Chablis). Erik was extremely knowledgeable/ informative. He answered every question we had, without hesitation. He really gave it his all to make sure we left happy and satisfied with our purchase. Erik also made sure to stay within our budget which was great! He is an AMAZING sales manager, and we HIGHLY recommend Erik Biork at The Sleepzone in Kingsport TN. We highly recommend that if you are shipping for a new bed, please visit The Sleepzone, and ask for Erik Biork. He will truly help you, and also educate you on the different kinds of beds, and how important it is to realize your individual needs for posture and comfort. If we ever need anything in the future, we will obviously be returning to the Sleepzone in Kingsport, and hopefully get to work with Erik Biork again!
