Hey All, So my family and I were in the neighborhood near Hillside Farms and we decided to stop in and see the animals and get some ice cream.
They are more than just a farm with animals to see. Soo much more. The staff is very friendly and attentive to what you're needs are.
They make some of the best chocolate and strawberry milk that I've ever tasted, and I think you would enjoy it as well. They also offer white milk. These are for sale in 1/2 gallon jars. Additionally, they have Orange juice and some amazingly tasty fresh tea, also in 1/2gallon jars. The tea alone, makes me want to go back over and over. They have freshmade butter, which I will be purchasing when I return my bottles and pick up some more milk. Continuing on, They have additional snacking items as well. I know they offer various flavors of popcorn and kettle corn along with some candies and other items that I know are slipping my mind at the moment. Also in the back, they have a nice size country store. So many different items for sale. They go from house signs, to scented candles, to toys for kids and so much more. Now let's get (what I believe) to why most people visit here..... THE ICE CREAM !! They offer so many amazing flavors and options. Hard, soft, cone, cup, sundaes & shakes and more!! Also (when available) they have fresh made apple dumplings! Always a family favorite here. They also have a large greenhouse that they have garden supplies in....gnomes and statues and things of that nature, also for sale.
I hope this brief description of The Lands at Hillside Farms helps you to make the great decision to go and visit. I believe that you OR you and your family will have a great time visiting here.

Read moreFirst and foremost, Hillside farms has amazing ice cream and is a great experience from kids to adults. They have been in my entire existence from below the Trucksville nursery school hill to present day covid remedies in the form of cookies and cream frozen goodness.
Posting 5 stars this late in life for Frank's (assuming the dairy store manager) involvement in some chicken chaos. My father's next door neighbor (across the highway from Hillside in non chicken territory) found my chicken unexpectedly and brought it to Hillside in concern...and I'm pretty sure this was right before closing. Frank took care of the bird overnight, into the following day, until I finally discovered the bird's whereabouts. I am so so sorry for the trouble and stress especially when some hen decided cows were better company than her kind. The 3 individuals in search of bird kept on the search quest, and Im grateful but apologize I wasted their time. Thank you for the obvious appreciation of animals.
FYI, THIS IS NOT AN ANIMAL REFUGE! Posting on behalf of the response received on an...
Read moreTried the strawberry and chocolate milk, as well as the iced tea. All were good. They do charge a $2 deposit for the bottles, but as long as you return them next visit, you get your money back. I like the quality of the glass bottles better so it was no problem to pay an extra $2. They had a large assortment of local products to try, I will have to come back and try some other things next time. In my opinion, the ice cream was good, not the best I've ever had. We also went to visit the animals. They had cow calves, pigs, donkeys, a horse, sheep, goats, chickens, and ducks. The cow calves were super cute and friendly and love to be scratched behind the ears. Most of the other animals mostly ignored us as it was dinnertime for them. A very fun experience to see the animals! I feel really good supporting a local business, and also one that has pasture-raised products from their animals. Try to support local vendors and pasture-raised products as much as you can! Will definitely be...
