The museum was a bit smaller than I thought it would've been and they don't allow photography. Friendly folks though and lots of history and pedigree to see. Gift shop could include bumper stickers. Be sure to also visit the store a few blocks away...lots of expensive hand-crafted stuff that was neat to look at, but above our pay grade, LOL!

This was a fun field trip with my daughter. We had the best tour guide in the King Ranch

Well done, seemed to be lacking for the size of the building.

I really enjoyed this museum and all the information about the cattle and horses that they cared for. This place offered history of the people, land, animals and the owners of King Ranch. I was told there is an actual ranch tour, but I only visited the museum and enjoyed learning about the history. I spent about 45 min looking at everything and reading the tags on pictures and displays. If you have family from this area, its quite possible that they work on this ranch, and their names may be included in the history at this museum. You could even find a vintage photo of...

We enjoyed this little piece of history alot. So much information through photos, HUGE PHOTOS, along the walls. Many things to look at and read. Nice little gift shop to look around in. There is a BEAUTIFUL banquet/event hall attached to this museum. I was in awe of the facility and dreaming of how a wedding all set up would look. As a photographer I could picture it all and the beautiful photos I could get. If you love King Ranch history definatley stop by. It does not take a really long time to go through, but I do not think you will be...

Heavy rains flooded the ranch roads and prevented our ranch tour, so the museum was our fallback. Museum was very nice, but not real large...you can see everything in an hour or hour and a half. They have a 20 min video there that gives background and history, which is very useful. Be aware they do not permit photos of anything, or touching of the various objects such as the beautifully tooled saddles. The exhibits and the building itself are very well made. This gives a nice snapshot of a (huge)...
