Love it! Fantastic place for a walk with your dog and/or a great workout. It's kind of confusing the first time you go because there are so many parking lots and it's hard to figure out where the path goes. But after your first visit, you will understand the layout better. It would be helpful if they had visitors sign and layout map in the parking lots. (Like a "you are here" kind of thing). Once you start walking, it could be a bit of a treck to get back to where you parked. The leash law is well abided (except for one woman who thought she was the exception to the rule). Funny thing was, that was my first visit and I didn't want to let my dog out of the car before asking her out my window "Are dogs allowed off leash here?". (If so, I would have kept driving.). She replied, "No, we have strict leash laws in Knoxville.". I should have said something sassy but I couldn't help laughing at how stupid she looked saying that with her dog off-leash. BTW people, when you have your dog off leash and everybody else is leashed, it causes a lot of problems. My dog and I were attacked this way and I have no control over someone else's dog obviously. (Only mine.). Have some courtesy and be more...

he area definitely has nice scenery and has a much-needed update from years past. They have added another playground for kids to enjoy themselves while moms and dads walk the dogs and create some stress free moments.

Currently as of February 2018 there's a lot of mud and dirt due to the reconstruction so definitely be one of that in many of the pathways have cracked foundation where you can easily trip and hurt yourself if not careful.

They're just enough Flats, Hills, up and down to give you the perfect amount of workout for all ages and shapes.

There are also a couple of baseball fields that are usually open every time that I have gone where you can catch up on some practice without too much crowd. Very excited to see the expansion that has yet to come in the coming months. This is a great place for a girl meet up, company outing, personal exercise and workout or just a nice walk to get away.

Bring the dog, kids or family and catch a sunset on one of the many benches they have throughout the trail.

I won't call it FIFA but they also have soccer fields to get...

We were only in Knoxville overnight. We picked up lunch and wanted to eat outside because it was such a beautiful day! My husband asked if there was a good place to sit outside and someone recommended this park and I am so glad they did! It is wonderful. It felt like acres of rolling green, people on blankets and picnic baskets. There was a perfect pavilion to sit and have some coffee and just soak in the moment. The children’s play area looked so ideal, it was nice to see kids playing and enjoying life. I suggest walking down to the lake. There is a path and a few benches. Take a book, find a spot. This park is a must! PS My husband and I were debating about the home on the top of the hill and I asked an employee that was on a golf cart near the public restrooms and she told me it used to be a mental institution and now the administrative offices. Yikes! For those of you that like to look into the history of a place. Maybe do some research...

Knoxville mamas! If you haven’t taken your kiddos to Lakeshore Park yet, add it to your list ā˜€ļø 185 acres, multiple playgrounds, gorgeous walking trails, and the prettiest overlook. Truly one of the best-kept parks around. šŸŒæšŸ’› A must see while the fall foliage is still in action! #easttennessee #kidsactivities #momlife #fyp #creatorsearchinsights
