Blackwolf Run Golf Course — Attraction in Kohler

Visited Blackwolf Run - River Course the first weekend of September 2025. We wanted to get out on Whistling Straits, but they did not have availability during our trip. So, we thought what the heck let's give Blackwolf Run a try. We were not disappointed. The staff in the clubhouse was attentive and welcomed us warmly. We had a tee time for later in the day, and were going to hang out until then. The staff said that we should try their Bath Course. It is a 10 hole course that was a great warm up to our round. They had music on each hole that was a nice addition, not too loud, just right. The course was immaculate! Perfect condition, the greens were fast but fair. A GREAT warm up. Then we went back into the clubhouse and the staff had a cancellation so we were able to get out on the River Course a bit earlier. We decided to get a four caddie to help navigate the course. We were paired with Bob Riley. He was wonderful. Great insight and helped me have one of the best rounds of my year! The experience was so great, that I am going to come back next year and play Black Wolf Run. After the round we had drinks and some food in the restaurant. The wait staff was just as attentive. This is a 5-star destination golf course! Always have a Platinum experience here and the course itself offers hospitable and friendly play for all skill levels. The meals and bar service inside are perfectly crafted and plated. The pro shop is first class and well appointed with ample choices, also reasonably priced.

BWR has opened the Baths, a 10-hole par3 golf course! This is an epically designed walking course with challenging distances for any short game. Several holes have dunes and provides for a Straits-style walking experience. Their 18-hole putting course is insanely challenging with mind-numbing elevation changes. This course feature just opened the first week of June so catch it on your next journey.

Can't say enough good things about this facility .. it's the only course in the US where I would jump on a plane and play for the day and fly back home. Kudos to the service and course maintenance staff for an always reliable experience! Will be...

Lesson in customer service. 12 th hole snack bar. The person before me told the staff the mustard was empty and to throw it away. ( I found this out later) Instead they left it out with the top unscrewed. Sprayed out all over new shorts. Reaction? The teenage girls thought it was funny. Brought them to the manager and asked what they could do. The 19 or so year old went to his manager, who didn’t deign to speak with me personally. What was the response? Offer to dry clean, or try washing? Nope. The teenager gave me tips on how to wash them myself. Of course I’ve been washing my clothes for 50 years longer than he has been alive. If this is the way they train their staff towards customer service then I would stay away from Kohler products in general. I assume this reflects the type of care and concern the company has for...
