Best sunset view in the La Crosse area by far! Easy flat and short trail that can connect to Hixon trails if you desire. Often see hawks out here. As for parking? It’s true that there are lots of “no parking” signs… the city of La Crosse should do something about that. I guess they want visitors to hike up from Hixon (plenty of parking) or via the Miller Bluff Trail trailhead (questionable parking). However, based on anecdotal hypothetical reports, I have yet to meet anyone who has ever been towed or ticketed for parking here.

**5-star Review:** The Rim of the City trail in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is perfect for a quick adventure. With an easy foot path and a short hike, it's accessible to everyone. I went 10 minutes before sunset, and the views were absolutely stunning! Highly recommended this for anyone looking for a beautiful, easy hike.

Nice spot! There are several trail options for easy, intermediate, and difficult. We stopped and spent time time at the overlook. I am a sucker for overlooks. AMAZING VIEW!!! Trail seemed clean and maintained well.

Really surprised to have arrived to no parking signs? Nice upper class neighborhood, they must think it belongs to them. Not surprised. Otherwise amazing, but as a visitor to lacrosse I'm really confused why you would have such an amazing site and then have no parking....
