Josh made me feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Women. He made me feel unwelcome and like I wouldn't have enough money to pay for a headstone for my father. His tone of voice and his overall responsiveness made me feel like I was burdening him with a specific design. A design that was actually inspired by one of their works in the office.
Josh had to make a phone call to the place that my father was buried to double check on size and unfortunately, the place was closed and will re-open until Oct 2. But he did say that there would be a time from 2-4PM where a person will be present to answer any general questions and he clearly said he would get in touch with me. Plus, he wanted me to email him a better photo of the custom designs on the headstone. So maybe he was just tired that day or it wasn't his day. But still.... it wasn't a very good experience.
I currently live in Boston and would have liked a follow up. He never emailed, never called. I called today and again... it's the same feeling as if I'm creating a burden on him by asking a simple question.
I will wait to see how things go, but never have I ever felt so passively aggressively be-littled by someone. I just want to create a memorial for my father and I'm willing to pay and give you business. The situation is already hard enough. All I ask...
Read moreOverall, purchasing our own headstone was a positive experience with La Crosse Memorials and we were very satisfied with the final product. The price was better than other competitors in the area and it was installed when they promised. The design phase was very good as we went back and forth multiple times by email before getting to the final approved design. The only negative part of the whole experience was after we had selected the stone and paid half down, I didn’t hear anything from them for over a month even though the final design phase was supposed to be underway. When I checked in with them, the order had been “misplaced” on the manager’s desk. This was quickly rectified and then things proceeded smoothly. I should also mention they did a very good job several years back when I ordered a bronze veteran’s plaque to be placed on an existing grave marker. They got the order from the VA and had it nicely mounted. La Crosse Memorials is a reputable company and you will be pleased with their final product. Like most things now days you will need to “ride herd” a bit to make sure everything...
Read moreWe just found out that my dad’s headstone was placed with no communication to my family. Moreover, the headstone was placed on someone else’s plot across the cemetery. We have not been able to get a phone call back from Dana, but only text messages to my mom. My entire family is very upset. There is no customer service. The lady there has been very rude to my mom. Lastly, the headstone is chipped and we are being told we need to make a decision on the headstone by this Monday. We do not live close. We are all traumatized with an experience that should be something of peace. Instead it feels like we did something wrong. We just want a peaceful beautiful place for my father’s resting place. I’m truly so sad. We have wanted to speak with someone else at the establishment, but Dana said the owners are retiring and will not let us resolve this with...
