Our family enjoys going to this park because there are so many features and amenities available on site. My toddler is 2-3yrs old and this playground is great. So far, I haven’t experienced anything negative about this park except maybe seeing one homeless on the park benches and tables and sometimes there is some trash leftover around the playground but it’s manageable and eventually gets cleaned up. There is always one or two LA sheriff cars on site doing patrols on both sides of the park and aquatic center. I haven’t experienced anything negative rude or disrespectful kids/parents, everyone has been friendly and social with my baby on the playground.

My toddler was able to enjoy the slides, ladders, rock climbing wall, swings, see-saw, and turning gears. We can easily spend 1-2hrs here.

Attached photo are hours and prices for the aquatic center too on site etc. it is brand new and just opened within past month. there is another small baby/toddler wooden playground on that side of the park. It’s very quiet and nice there for younger babies. the QR code on the flyer also includes info, prices, and pool rules. No phones in the pool area due to past incident regarding dropped phones in the bottom of pool so everything will have to be placed in lockers. Lovely place and new pool smell… which is no smell. For free swim days, the lifeguards will check your swim gear and outfits before entering facilities and locker room. Website will show what is acceptable and not acceptable to wear to the center. Free swim days only applies to the small pool and not the big pool (Olympic pool, you need to take a test to swim in this one and buy an annual pass with # of admissions).

They also have swim classes and lessons to register online starting from 6months old to adults via website. Lots of parking. If you are coming to the aquatic center, enter via temple. There are about 4 electric charging stations there with power flex app and 2-4 handicap parking. On the other side of neighborhood off Giordano st for Allen J Martin park, two handicap spots, main playground with swings, lunch tables and grills, exercise equipments, park office, splash pad, and good shade throughout the area. I would still wear a sun hat and sunscreen on bright sunny days to make it bearable. Summertime hours for splash pad is 11a-7p. Pls don’t drink the recycled water and bring swim diapers for little ones. They have free lunch program here for kids under 17 to eat on site 12-1p...

With summer approaching it is becoming more unsafe. With homeless/drug users using it as there home. Using children's playground and baseball field dug out to store there property and as there sleeping area. Who do you call? Police only seem interested in community members using park properly but ignore the actual dangerous people. These dangerous people stick out like a sore thumb but yet nothing is done. They only come to park in the day time for a change of clothing and to use bathrooms. Today I witnessed one of these people yelling to himself relentlessly at one end of this small park. While another guy was verbally assaulting park visitors exercising in the morning. Successfully running off the visitors. If only police did daily random potrols of the park at night. And actively disposed of these people's property. Maybe there comfort of being at park and conducting themselves in barbaric ways could be eliminated. Most in danger are the people who exercise in the early mornings, around sunrise. And children finding drug paraphernalia. Please be careful and aware of your surroundings when...

I recently took my son to this park and he was running around and somehow lost my phone. I think it fell off my pocket while I was trying to get him. He was running around with a little girl his age and was talking to her mother I got distracted. I used her phone to try to call my phone number but nobody picked up. we were looking around to see when was the last place our kids were running but nothing appeared. I had to go home and tell my boyfriend so he suggested to track it down and the last place was at temple. I also send like the lost mode to call me but yeah most likely this person stole my phone and it isn't fair. I won't be coming again to...

1st time here at Allen J. Park, it is a very small "park", it was okay to fly my DJI Phantom 3 professional quadcopter there. Also there is a decent basketball court here, which is always good. However, it is in a LOW income area neighborhood, so I imagine the local gangbangers, are around this park and the surrounding area. Anyways see pic's below.
