Honestly very disappointed in this place! I wanted to like it so bad but honestly I’ll never go back! The smell is atrocious along with their ridiculous prices! They harrassed me, followed me around because I was carrying very clearly EMPTY flat reusable bags around (I don’t like wasteful plastic bags) my friend bought for an aesthetic we were going for. Anyway the entire staff followed me and my friend around no matter were we were there they were. So I put the bags in my purse to show we do NOT want to steal anything. We WERE planning on dropping some money there. But after she approached my friend demanding she hand over the ONE thing she actually wanted to buy, I was over it. We were kind when they approached us we admired all there stuff and even took instagram pictures. So we were pretty disappointed. Anyway they can’t take any criticism because they blocked me on facebook. Now maybe we should have left the bags in the car, but maybe they should have been big girls and just asked us to take them out of the store because i would have totally understood that. But no they had to be middle aged children....
Read moreEDIT: I want to publically and socially apologize to the owner of Leaping Leopard's for my insane previous review. You were not the issue. I was not happy with who I was becoming with the individual I was dating at the time and you did absolutely nothing wrong before I met them, during, and hopefully a future of revisiting. I had grown up with my parents bringing me in and also your items bring tangible comfort. I also spent the time to reflect on and infer your reply to my crazy last review, and I took it with offense at first but it took time for me to understand how hurtful my last review was, and for that I am sorry. It may have taken months but I did eventually come around. It's a cute museum with good collections and prices. Thank you for being a home in Lafayette and please stay. I hope you can forgive me for my transgressions. If not, I will not come back out of respect to your business and values. Lots of...
Read morePrices are much too high. My husband actually found a comic book that was a good deal. Unfortunately, the man ringing him up pulled off the price tag and ripped the seam of the front cover. So ridiculous! Then acted like it was no big deal. To the vendor whose comic book was ripped by the man working there (dark hair), it wasn't a patron who ripped it. It was someone who definitely should have known better. My husband didn't buy that comic and was very irritated that that happened and the employee didn't care that he damaged a piece of old ephemera that is graded poorly due to rips, tears, creases, etc. If you work at an antique store you should know better how to handle the items for sale without damaging them and causing the vendors and the store to lose money/business. The other older guy (white hair) standing there ringing up patrons didn't say a word to the guy who ripped the comic....
