Wonderland Center for Performing Arts — Attraction in Lafayette

My daughter has attended Wonderland for 1.5 years, and we couldn't be happier. The community is warm and welcoming, without being cliquish or overly demanding of students (or parents), and the culture is both nurturing and challenging for the students. The growth I've seen in my daughter as she has explored new roles and learned new skills is jaw-dropping, and her confidence--but not her ego--has shot through the roof. My daughter was eager to get into theatre. I enrolled her in the jazz class since she been a dancer for 7 years. We had our hopes up but I was very much disappointed to what my daughter learned for the spring season. All they learned was a 2 mins dance combination from the movie Wicked. The show was thrown together and it didn’t feel like a production. For paying $100 a month for just that wasn’t worth it at all. You better enrolling your child in dance class then to come here. We have taken classes at wonderland and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff is amazing! Patient with parents that are new to performing arts experiences, and showing their students some amazing skills sometimes they don't know they have.
