Well, I love the Park: The Pavilion (You have to rent though, and it does have electrical outlets and sink), Picnic Tables, Grill's, Softball Field and Dug out, Huge Playground, and 2 Set's of Bathrooms (1 - Across from The Pavilion, and 1 - Next to The Playground). Roads follow everywhere. SPEED LIMIT IS 10 MPH IN PARK. At the back of the Park, past The Pavilion is a little steep path leading down to the beach, if you can call it that. Be aware, don't let anyone fool you. This is NOT AN EASY CLIMB. LOL. Made the mistake of listening to my wife, needless to say, she was wearing sneakers and I had steel-toe boots on. IF I would have known that there were another way down to the beach, I would've taken it. We did find out that there was another way, just not the steep path, LOL!!! Live and learning, even at my age: 53 yrs old. Tell ya a secret: Take the other way, to get down to the beach, it's way easier and wider, wear hiking boots, or sneakers; not steel-toed boots, and don't listen to anyone's BS about how easy it is to get down there without proper shoes and lots of...
Read moreLarge, beautiful community park, no charge to enter, very clean, newer playground, old restrooms on south side, but newer restrooms next to the large picnic pavilion, which overlooks Lake Erie. Great views as the park is high up on a bluff, maybe 100 feet above the lake. The park has a lot of lake frontage with plenty of room to spread out or take a long walk enjoying the views. Parents: beware of the dangerous cliffs. No fence to stop little ones from running off. They won't hit the bottom as there is a tree line below to stop them, but still a large drop off in most...
Read moreHi. Lake Erie Community Park is a very beautiful place. The challenge is the climb or hike through the path to go down the cliff to the lake beach. This path is very steep but it is a good challenge. My husband and I did it. We climbed down the cliff, across the log, which crosses the water, and then up the other path to the pavillions and electric tower, which was located behind residential area. Then we hiked the paths again and arrived at the park, to get to the car. Warning wear good sneakers, but not steel toed boots, or flip...
