I just terminated my membership at the rec center due to not being able to engage with the activities I pay to use it for. Today was the 4th time I stopped to swim after work, as was a recommendation from my cardiologists, and was turned away with no space to swim. Seems the schools that use the rec center occupy all but three lanes at this pool regularly during the week leaving only these three lanes for the paying members to use turning many away routinely. I can’t continue to pay the close to 50.00 a month to “not swim”. I’ve asked, discussed even complained several times and am told we’ll make space by some of them and even told by one young lady that the public is supposed to “double up” in lanes when they are crowded? Which is a safety hazard if both swimmers are not experienced. Ridiculous.! Really is a shame that the management doesn’t “ manage” this better and offer a solution to the paying members instead of catering to the schools who should really find it in their budgets to fund pools of their own if they wish to support a swim team instead being a drainer nuisance for the local community…. Think twice about getting a membership here if your interested in a facility that will honor a commitment to your recreation activities as a...
Read moreGave it four stars because it does have a lot of positive things for the community, which is great. I wish I had something like this growing up in my city. The only complaint I really have is I signed up for a cardio dance class. I am visiting my family for the next two weeks And I signed up and the Instructor was 10 minutes late. I asked somebody else if she’s always late and they said yes when I got in the class, the instructor did not say hi or introduced herself to me. What also bothered me was that after each song was over in the class she had to run to the back where her phone was and at one point I counted it took two minutes for her to find another song So her running back-and-forth after each song was like weird to me and kind of ruined the vibe, especially for taking so long to find another song one wasn’t a pleasant experience, but I would go back to a...
Read moreSeems like the dry sauna or pool is too often closed due to repairs which is understandable, but driving a good distance makes the trip kind of wasted. I also don’t like having to get a reservation for the sauna. I mean if you want to control who’s coming and going, it’s pointless for “safe distancing” when you have 4/5 people all within 6 feet of each other. Just don’t understand the annoying reservations, wrist bands and wait times. More than once I drove ALL the way there at 5:45 am and the morning associate is late or not opened during the hours posted. And finally, I shouldn’t have to see the person behind the desk eating food, especially when you have 3 other associates standing around not doing anything. Go to the break room for Pete’s sake. Overall, if I lived around the corner and didn’t mind the school zones and aforementioned issues, it’s not...
