Well kept. Clean park with beautiful grass and trees. The bathrooms are well maintained and it was a joy taking a few laps around the park. You have horseshoes, basketball courts, a splash zone, barbecue pits, and a very nice playground. Large soccer field and baseball field. I'm sure I forgot something but you get the picture.

A wonderful oasis in the middle of the desert. Beautiful trees with lots of shade and soft grass. 85 degrees felt like a cool summer day here.

Title: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the City - Stephen Sorensen Park

Stephen Sorensen Park is a delightful urban oasis nestled in the heart of the city. This hidden gem offers a serene and well-maintained environment, making it an ideal spot for relaxation, recreation, and family outings.

One of the standout features of this park is its lush greenery and beautiful landscaping. The park is adorned with vibrant flowers, tall trees, and well-manicured lawns, creating a picturesque setting that is perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with loved ones. The park's cleanliness and attention to detail are commendable, as the staff ensures that the grounds are well-maintained and free from litter.

The park boasts a variety of amenities that cater to different interests and age groups. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the well-maintained basketball and tennis courts, while children can have a blast at the playground, which offers a range of equipment suitable for different age groups. The park also features ample open spaces for activities such as frisbee, soccer, or simply lounging on a sunny day.

One of the park's highlights is its well-designed walking trails. These paths wind through the park, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying a peaceful walk or jog. The trails are well-marked and provide a sense of tranquility, making them a favorite among fitness enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Another notable feature of Stephen Sorensen Park is its commitment to community engagement. The park hosts various events throughout the year, including concerts, festivals, and movie nights. These events bring the community together and create a vibrant atmosphere that adds to the park's charm.

However, there are a few areas where Stephen Sorensen Park could improve. The restroom facilities, while functional, could benefit from more frequent cleaning and maintenance. Additionally, the park could benefit from more shaded areas, as the hot summer sun can make certain parts of the park uncomfortable during peak hours.

Overall, Stephen Sorensen Park is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Its well-maintained grounds, diverse amenities, and community engagement make it a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike. With a few minor improvements, this park has the potential to become an even more exceptional...

Seriously. With the few options that there is and there are still people complaining 🙄 this place is great and offers amenities that like almost no other park in the area provides. Yes in the summer the playground equipment will be hot. It's usually over 100 degrees in the summer what the heck would you expect? Use ur brains when you choose a time to come. And yes, the splash pad is wet. It's going to be wet. So if you're allowing your kids to run on the splash pad when it is wet. They might slip. Those things happen when water is involved. Maybe don't let your kid run when it's slippery. A little common sense goes a long way if you don't have any. Then this might not be the...

On the government park website it says they close at 9 PM, but I have been kicked out as early as 6 PM. During the Palisade fires, the lady kicked me out, saying the fires were endangering the environment, which I could not believe. Other times they have forced me to leave around 7 or 8 PM because they need to close up other parks, yet all the other local parks do not have fences and their lights go off at 9 PM. Save your family the stress and go to Pearlblossom instead, where the lights actually go off at 9 PM. You also need an appointment to play basketball in the gym because they have events there all the time, which...
