This park has a little bit of everything. Trails, picnic areas, a small museum, playgrounds, a river, a small lake (fishing and you can rent paddleboats also), a tower structure that has stairs and is a 'lookout'. Adjacent to the park is a golf course, a campground and RV park, and a small town with restaurants, etc. The park also has a covered bridge you can drive (or walk) across, and also a walking suspension bridge that is over part of the lake. There is a recreational building near the lake that can be rented for events. The park has small permanent restroom buildings also. It's a nice place to spend half a day with family and or friends. Read moreWe rented the Elks Lake Pavilion for an event and it was the perfect setting for it. There are swings next to it for the kids, the tables and chairs are provided inside the building, there are also picnic tables outside behind the building that are in between the lake. The bathrooms for the facility are outside, which I wasn't aware of when booking but it didn't matter. They are easily accessible and clean and even if it's raining there's an overhang so you stay dry. Overall I'm very happy with the facility and would recommend and use again. Read moreI have always loved Lake of the Woods.. Hiking paths the big lake to fish & paddle boats.. A beautiful river that snakes around the park, with red cover bridge. Couple parks for kids.. 2 big pavilions for private parties (lot's of weddings & receptions are held there..) Small pavilions scattered throughout the park for little parties/picnics/cookouts with little grills (free for those little one's).. A big beautiful botanical garden.. Great place to go with the kid's or just by yourself for a peaceful day.. Also the Lake of the Woods golf course is right...
