Love this place because it was one of the few times I put love and joy onto Keri self's heart.isnt she beautiful. Her birthday was. A walk in the park with her son Eli. Red wine for us and pop for Eli....with a great little picnic of port wine cheese n crackers.some salomi..and cheesrcake.by the stream. She was so happy about the best birthday she ever had...even though I got us lost and had to walk like 4 miles back to the park via a highway.....lolol..we laughed at me...

Staying in Nisswa for a few days. Certainly wanted to get at least one hike in while we are here. Even though it was end of January the temps were only in the mid thirties. Winter, leaves are basically all gone almost, the brook was frozen over in some areas but certainly still running in others. Hike in total for us was about two miles approx. Scenic, not extremely challenging. Nice jaunt through the woods with some good spots for...

Wonderful, well maintained park for beautiful winter hike, even without snowshoes. Very quiet other than at the very beginning where the snowmobile trail passes through. Lovely bubbling creek. Trails are well marked and despite being clearly used enough for the snow to be tamped down, nary a soul on my 2.5 mile winter hike (other than lots of birds and a porcupine at the top of a tree!). Toilets are open in winter. Nice little sledding...

This was a near perfect path to explore! It was great until it shrinks to single file next to the river. Tough terrain to navigate with a 10 yr old and a canine! Yikes! We had to turn around. However, that is my only complaint. Otherwise this area is GORGEOUS!

Beautiful scenery. Plenty of river front hiking trails, skiing trails, and seating for all. Plenty of room to park also with very little pressure from other people. Bring your dog for a swim and walk, or join friends to grill. Don't forget the bug spray.
