Sherman Park — Attraction in Lake Township

Grew up in this area 54th and Bishop. At that time we were the only Mexicans on the block sadly to see the area is full of Hispanics now. My family made a lot of good friends with the BPSN. AS FAR AS SHERMAN PARK GOES I REMEMBER BEING THERE IN THE EARLY '90S WITH MY FAMILY... Lots of Moe's ... But they were always inviting whenever they barbecue they always invited my father and us over there to eat with them... Not so much now went over there a few Sundays ago All Hispanics and they looked at me as though I was crazy and I'm full fledged Hispanic ! Bring back order to Sherman Park bring back the Moe's bring back Prince wakita they kept that part clean spic and span now all you see is Budweiser boxes and Modelo...

I've been coming to this place since I was a kid. It's so different now since the internet took over. Not a whole lot of books like before. Now I come here about 1-2 times a month to use the internet to print out or make copies. The computers recently start breaking down with a few available ones that works. So far, I always get one without making a reservation. There's not more that I can tell you about this library because I only go there for what I mentioned previously, but it has an area for children (computers & books), and I think programs for kids to seniors? There pamplets on the wall before you come in and before you leave out that...

We had our back to school giveaway here last year. This park has so much to offer the community: large event space, tennis court, basketball court, multiple playground areas (updated), pool, fitness center, East and West gyms, and a lagoon.
